Additional cost for crashing a rented car

I kind of like this idea. I mean, I only rent cars to rip around the track, but it's a nice idea.

Perhaps it could be implemented on a contact-based system like LFS Lazy / Mary tracks in real-time? You crash, you get charged x amount based on severity. Whether it's your fault or not, IRL you'd still get charged and insurance would take care of the rest. However. If it wasn't your fault... I feel like the "refund requests" category would get flooded either way.
