I change my paypal password every month, and I change my email password that is linked in with paypal, once every 2 months. (I use paypal every day though. Kinda a necessity.)

Use non-English words, make your own up, whatever, just write it down and put it somewhere, less likely to get burgled for your paypal password than for it to be stolen online.
