Genuine Racing - GTi Trophy 2013 - Round 1 - BL1

Elmo scores the first points for [TC] Racing in the inaugural round of Genuine Racing's GTi Trophy at BL1, coming 28th out of 43 entrants.

Genuine Racing - GTi Trophy 2013 - Round 2 - A22R (Open Configuration)

Elmo & Lamp competed in round 2 of the GTi Trophy at A22R, an open configuration track consisting of parts of AS1 and AS2R. Lamp finished 7th and Elmo finished 22nd out of 30 starters.

Genuine Racing - GTi Trophy 2013 - Round 3 - SO4

Savy, Elmo & Lamp competed in round 3, 20 laps of SO4. Savy finished 6th, Lamp 8th & Elmo 24th. This puts us 6th in the overall team standings at the half way stage of the season!

Genuine Racing - GTi Trophy 2013 - Round 4 - FE25 (Open Configuration - Fern Bay Classic)

Savy qualified 6th, Lamp 13th and Elmo 23rd. Over 23 laps of this tricky track Savy got his XFG on the podium, 3rd place, Savy and [TC-R]'s first league race podium. Lamp finished 9th and Elmo finished 16th. Another good points haul.

Genuine Racing - GTi Trophy 2013 - Round 5 - WE1R

Savy qualified 3rd, Elmo qualified 17th and Lamp didn't qualify at all so started at the back in 23rd. After 3 laps, Savy managed to get into the lead and Lamp managed to gain 12 places. After 19 tense laps, we brought our GTi's home in 1st (Savy), 9th (Lamp) and 17th (Elmo). This gives us a lot of points leading into the final round!

Genuine Racing - GTi Trophy 2013 - Round 6 - KY2

Lamp, Savy & Elmo pre-qualified 3rd, 4th & 18th respectively for the final round of the Genuine Racing GTi Trophy. Qualifying was as tense as ever, Savy putting his XFG 4th on the grid, the fastest XFG time of the day. Lamp qualified 8th and Elmo 20th. 41 minutes later after 18 laps of Kyoto National [TC] Racing brought home 4th (Savy), 5th (Lamp) & 17th (Elmo). Savy narrowly missed out on his 3rd podium of the season by missing his pitbox meaning he had to reverse back into it!

Elmo chose not to take part in this round but Savy & Lamp managed to pre-qualify for the race on Sunday. Before the race, Savy qualified 9th and Lamp qualified 19th. 63 laps later Savy finished in the top 10, 7th overall. Lamp finished 13th. It was a very enjoyable race and we should get a nice haul of points.

Genuine Racing (GenR) Turbo Trophy - Round 3 - 2x14 laps of K32R (TBO)

As it happened

Sean and Lamp entered round 3 qualifying in 7th and 11th respectively. After an interesting first race, Sean managed to improve to 6th whilst Lamp dropped a place to 12th. The starting grid for the second race was set as the finishing order from race 1. Sean was unable to participate meaning Lamp was promoted to 11th. Although it was a shame not to have both cars in race 2, Lamp finished race 2 where he started, 11th position. This should see a good haul of points come our way ahead of round 4.

As it happened

Savy & Lamp entered round 4 of the turbo trophy pre-qualifying 1st and 6th respectively. Confidence was high for race day. In qualifying Savy took an early lead but was pipped by 0.01s in the final few minutes of the session to take 2nd. Lamp qualified 6th but was promoted to 5th for the race. The race started well but at the 3 quarter mark the server went down, once extra pit stops were calculated for those that didn't pit, Lamp finished 7th and Savy finished 3rd.

As it happened

Pre-qualifying went well getting 2 of us in the top 5. Qualifying was a tense battle between Savy and Lahteenmaki. Savy took pole by nearly a tenth! Lamp took 5th by two tenths and Elmo took 12th. The first race was intense and there was a lot of battling up front. Savy took an impressive win to make it his first league race podium. He narrowly missed a win in race 2 but still, a very successful evening for [TC] Racing our largest points haul so far.

As it happened

Pre-qualifying was relatively poorly attended meaning Lamp got the #82 FXO up to 4th. Qualifying went better than expected after a relatively lucky opening lap put Lamp 3rd where he stayed for the remainder of the 20 minute session. The first stint of the race was awful, Lamp dropping 2 places before an early pitstop on lap 27. This left the tyres to battle on through a 45 lap 2nd stint. Astonishingly the gap to 3rd & 4th place was only 2 seconds when he crossed the line after a consistent and quick second stint.

[TC] Racing finished the GenR Turbo Trophy in 2nd place! This gives us automatic entry into the GenR 9 Hours of Aston Historic Reversed race later this year.

Genuine Racing (GenR) NEC - Round 1 - 4 Hours of SO5R (UF1/XFG/XRG)

As it happened

Pre-qualifying for the event was cancelled after fewer than 30 teams confirmed for the race. This meant [TC-R] were automatically allowed to qualify. Savy qualified 6th in class putting him 6th on the grid for the start of the race. Savy drove a 2 hour stint and gained 2 places meaning that at the half way point he was 4th. Savy pitted after 2 hours and 15 minutes to let Lamp take the wheel. During the pitstop, we dropped 2 places but Lamp managed to get back into 6th. On the closing laps, Team Vires 1 overtook dropping us down to 7th.

As it happened

Pre-qualifying saw [TC-R] 1 qualify 13th in class and [TC-R] 2 6th in class. With pre-qualifying over the focus was on the race. [TC-R] 1 qualified 7th in class and [TC-R] 2 qualified 3rd on race day. After an unscheduled trip down the pitlane and a few off's, [TC-R] 1 dropped 2 places from qualifying to finish 9th. [TC-R] 2 had similar troubles getting caught up in a few incidents with lapping traffic bringing their FOX home in 7th. It was a tense race and we look forward to improving our performance for round 3.
