G'day!
Epic recently announced that they were going to announce something about a new Unreal Tournament game. Yesterday they announced the game, and the 'idea' of the game.
Remember the time, when you bought a game, and got the game completely? Epic.. Well.. They don't seem to like the whole DLC thing. Instead, this game is going to be free. Yes, you're reading it right. The game is entirely free. No free-to-play, pay-to-win, etc.
Instead, they will be launching a 'marketplace' where people can find and post their idea's for the game, as Epic also said that they want to create the game together with the community.
Meaning, people that make mods for the game can share it via that marketplace, wich can be either free or paid. With a system like that Epic hopes to be able to cover up the expenses of making this game in the first place.
GG Epic. There should be more company's like you. Anyway, Epic also mentioned that there's a minor thing now, wich is that we wont be able to play the game for a while as they actually started developing the game ... Yesterday.
