The TAF (Terminal Area Forecast) for Heathrow (about an hour from me) suggests this:

It basically says between the hours of midnight on the 18th and 0600 hours on the 18th, there will be heavy showers of rain with moderate thunderstorms and cumulonimbus cloud at 4800ft (broken). Also, it is suggesting between the hours of 2100 tonight (18th) and 0600 on the 19th, there will be a surface wind of 15 knots gusting to 25 knots with heavy thunderstorms of rain. Again, broken cumulonimbus cloud at 4800ft.

Insane storm here, constant lightning and thunder, was crazy, and with the spanish plume and destabilization now taking place it is going to get much worse the CAPE and the LI are looking very very good for us southerners

Jimmy, here in your neighbour (Finland, the land of ice bears and whatever ) is hotter than there Yesterday here was about 32 and today over 30. Tomorrow and day after tomorrow etc. it's promising over 30. And this heat have started over a week ago.

Haha, its same around here but they are saying gonna be thunder in weekend 2 days and monday rain + 25 in that later next week gonna ve hot to

Thunder again class 2 heavy, all day long lightnings over city

we had today max 45k lightnings in road pretty damn crazy to sad i had no battery in camera

Here in Finland we had one damn of a day, at least the southern-ish part. I saw the biggest and widest lightning I've ever seen in my life; and it also came with three-in-a-row. Also we encountered a power outage.

Speaking of power outages, powers went down from the SE Mäkinen terminal, just as I was leaving... Meaning the gate wouldn't open.

And as soon as we managed to open the gate manually, surprise, powers came back
