are the VIN's on every single car unique? meaning that VIN will never appear on another car again even if it has disappeared?

or are they regenerated?

example below.

Buy XFG VIN: AAGOD

Car reaches 00% cond and vanishes.

Buy FZ5 VIN: AAGOD

They are unique for every car.

Example : AAAHT

Not really a need for them to ever appear again, as there are 5^26 possible combinations.
Should be more than 1 Quintillion for the US/UK guys.

Sorry to burst your bubble Pipa but it's 26^5 which is 11,881,376 possible VINs.

And to answer the question in the OP, VINs are never reused, they are tied to one car forever.
