Heyho, we start all over again. All accounts have been reset just a few minutes ago.

Here is a quick explanation of the changes:

Cars & Licenses:
The actual driving on TC has not changed much. Meaning that the only active penalty is the 500€ pit-fine, like its been for years. But, we do not longer have licenses for cars. You can now buy and trade them freely. Every car is a unique item with a unique history. If you buy it or service it, your name takes place in the car's history. A car is identified by a VIN (vehicle identification number). This one exist of 5 characters starting with AAAAA and ends with ZZZZZ.

Dealing:
There are basically two ways to deal cars. Either Player-to-Player on the server, or via the TC dealer. The TC dealer is a automated commercial dealer, who tries to make money by dealing
If you sell a car to the TC dealer, it will be available for everyone (on every server) to buy. All you need to know is the VIN. A website for used cars will be available shortly. Once you found the VIN of the car you wish to buy, you enter it in-game. The command is !buy . The !buy-command can be used either to buy a new car or a used one. It's determined by whether you enter a vehicle-type like “!buy fxo” or a VIN like “!buy AAABD”.

Renting:
Renting has changed a lot. You don't need to enter commands any more. Just take the car you wish and drive around. You will be billed like riding a taxi. GTR's are not allowed for newbies under 1000 km.

The Home-menu
Car related functions are accessible via the new Home-menu. The Home-menu button will be displayed when you're in a Safe Zone. If you click it, the menu opens.

Car Dealer
Offers you to buy new, unused cars.

Garage
Shows your garage. Your garage has a variable size and can hold up to 20 cars. New slots can be bought for 10,000€ each. Clicking on a garage-slot will take you to the car details.

Car details
This page basically shows all the relevant information about the car and offers various commands to issue. Which are:
-Sell to dealer for xxx
This one sells this car to the TC System-Dealer. The TC dealer offers you about 70% of the estimated value.

-Service car for xxx
Services the car (read more in the car tech details)

- Set as primary xxx
Makes this car the primary for the names type of car. If you own two UF1's at a time, Insim needs to know which one you're driving. You can ignore this if you only have one car of a type.

- Send to junk-yard
Self-explaining. Scraps the car without any monetary compensation.

-Send to other player
Same like sending money. Instantly gives this car to another user (on the same server). You may pick a name from a list which will be shown.

Car techs:
Life-time of a car
Every car you buy has a limited life-time, which is basically the distance before it breaks down. The “Condition”- value shows the ageing process or a car. 100% means its new, 0% means its junk.
All cars-types have different life-spans. The exact values will be published at some point.

Car Services
To make things a bit more interesting, you have to keep your car serviced. Each car-type has a fixed interval at which you have to service your car. The designed-lifetime of a car is only the best case value. If you're getting behind your service schedule, your car ages faster than a serviced one. Its like not visiting a doctor, your shortening your estimated age. This factor is somewhat higher on sports-cars. Also, the exact values will be published at some point.

In short words: Driving will wear out your car, and being late with service will wear out your car even more.
The condition-value is always correct! The condition value will take all necessary factors into account to determine a car's value. So you can rely on that number when trading.

Hope you enjoy it, cheers.
Appendix:

We do also have a complete new XP system for cops and robbers, which also compensates the different cars. So if you bust an UF1 with a UFR, you get less XP than with a FXO.

For that, each cars has a class, for instance UF1 is 1, FXO is 3.
You can see these classes for instance at the new-car dealer. The class is shown in these brackets [].

The actual calculation is simple xp = round(loser / winner * 10).
The loser gets 25% of that deducted.

Winner and loser can either be a cop or robber. A robber gets instantly rewarded if he shakes off one cop. He does not need to win the entire chase to get points.

For instance, if you escape in a UF1 from a FXO, you get 30 points!
The cop would lose 8 points.

The cop/robber stats-webpages will get updated soon.
A very early version if the online-market is here:
