I'm getting crazy now.. Everytime i try to start garrys mod this "hl2.exe" stopped working message come up.
(Yes i have tried dxlevel 80, 81, 85, 8)
Some PC specs would be nice Sade.
It worked perfect earlier today.

GeForce GTX 770
Windows 8.1 64bit
Have you tried verifying integrity of game cache?
Have you install any mods/plugins before it started crashing?
I have not installed anything the last month to garrys mod.
Yes i tried, i aslo reinstalled the game, but still crashes on startup.
Hmm, after looking in a hour after a fix someone typed "reinstall tf2" and guess what.. now gm works.. ._.
hl2 didn't start 3 times.
hl3 confirmed.
Hl2.exe is the garrys mod executable, since its based offthe source engine.
