The black dot is somewhere else I guess.

Yeah. The human vision is actually rather bad at viewing several things at once. Therefore when you look at part of the image, the rest of the image will show black dots because they aren't in focus. They show as black dots because the background is dark.

29* - the one 'dot' you are looking at is white and the rest black. I'd rather call them grey though.
