Surprise, surprise… another cop who thinks he runs the world just because he’s got a badge on his chest and a pistol on his hip. This time, an ignorant cop has decided that the law he doesn’t have to follow today is parking legally, as the handicap spot in front of McDonalds is ideal for getting in and out of the restaurant without all that walking hassle.
Words cannot explain the level of ridiculousness that the police of America have achieved. Police officers are supposed to be community role models: upholding not just the law, but also community values like a healthy diet, respect for your fellow citizens, the ability to have a logical conversation without escalating the situation, and the education of the people they protect regarding their rights, transparency of the police force, and the very laws that tie society together. Cops are supposed to be people we look up to; people we aspire to be like because they’re so damn good at being a model citizen. They’re community leaders, and hold a lot of responsibility, and with that responsibility comes accountability.
Somehow though, the police have formed a cushion when it comes to how hard they fall from such aspiring heights; a buffer from the very law they “uphold”. If a cop shoots somebody, and there is evidence to prove that the cop was in the wrong, why does the cop still walk away a free man? If a cop kicks a man while he’s down, why isn’t he reprimanded and charged with assault? He wouldn’t hesitate to give you the charge if you did, so how did cops become so untouchable?
This cop in all his glory is the opposite of a model citizen. McDonalds in hand, parked in a handicapped spot, and when he’s questioned about the legality of his parking, he immediately begins to intimidate the man who asked the question. He flippantly admits he can park wherever he wants because he’s a cop, and doesn’t even take the time to explain calmly why he thinks the asker is wrong. Now based off of what you see in the video, would you trust this cop enough to call him and ask for help? Is this the kind of man you want guarding your streets?
This cop is a bully, and in all honesty he’s not doing his job. What happens if you don’t do your job correctly…?
