I recently bought an MRT and I had an idea. Since the MRT has a motorbike engine and it is very small it is basically and 4 wheeled motorbike, so I thought people with a cop license could use the MRT as a patrol unit. Their job would be to go round the streets reporting crimes to normal officers and fining illegally parked cars.
Use them for escorting. lol.
It's not really practical for any such role on the server. It's too small, no horn, no lights, no reverse gear, low visibility. Doubt the MRT will ever be used as a form a patrol/police vehicle unfortunately.
As Luke said. I think that its not necesary to have it. Its a good idea, but a -1 from me
Can be good if we use the MRT as a special unit just for lasering or fining illegally parked cars, or maybe a helicopter special unit? Smile

+1
Having that would not be very practical at all basically due to what Luke said. Hardly anyone would know you're a COP and you can do all of this in a normal car anyway.

If you want to be a Helicopter Unit then you can change your name and go to Shift+U or spec the suspect. I myself like doing that on TS from time to time; you don't really need a car for that.

Thumbdown
but .. but.. the mrt is a helicopter
-1 facepalm this thread!

The MRT cant keep up with none of the cars except the +4 ones.

And it cant fly.
I think it would be a great idea if the mrt had lights and a horn. It would be a type of HWA unit that TC members use. Or create a type of visual warning like !siren for it. Possibilities would be starting chases, fining for speeding etc. But No contact.
MRT can barely squeeze out 170 km/h.
The MRT should be illegal to drive but still able to drive... It dosnt work for copping.

Maybe it's good for lasering due to its small size and can hide in places that other cars can't
Adding a poll will see how many ppl want/dont want..

Then they'd probably push their luck and try chasing people whilst using an MRT, which will cause problems. Admins have enough to enforce already.

To counteract the issue above, a totally separate role would be needed, and that seems pointless IMO.

Wrong , tops at +/- 190kph in Autobahn

Heli[COP]Ter means a unit that you call, to give you suspect position, not what the name really means.

Irrelevant when you realize it will take you a decade to get there.

So if "Heli[COP]Ter" you're not actually going to be driving it? Just giving the suspects position?
have you never seen a flying mrt before?
