Hiyar,

Just broke the screen on my HTC WS. Dropped about 3ft onto a wood floor, cracked from about 1/3 of the way up on the left, all the way across to the top right. Screen is also completely unresponsive.

Basically wondering if a simple screen replacement will do (and if it is something that I can do myself) or if a full professional repair is better (bearing in mind the cost difference).

Because it's a touch screen phone, and have touch panel, I think the best is the full professional repair.

as it depends have you broke the lcd? or the digitizer glass?

local phone shop estimated £35 for a fix. Cheaper than expected.

That's probably the average price for a new screen for a smarthphone. Maybe the newest iPhones are more expensive because they are assembled like a bitch

The link Tom posted says £40 for a new digitizer alone I was expecting a quote of at least £50 for a full repair.
