From the time you completed your training, your result was pending authorisation. Your result will be posted shortly, sorry for the wait.
Training Information:

Took place on: 29/08/2016

Trainer(s) Present: Nismo [T], Sonic [AS]

Assistance Present: Bee [CA]

Lead Trainer: Nismo [T]

Good Points: Performed two good corner PITs. Maintained sight of the suspect for most of the chase.

Improvements: One of your main reasons for the failure was your car control. One of the errors with the control of your car in particular was your driving line. I could see that you were not taking a smooth driving line, this meant that you were bumping against barriers or having to take action in order for you to remain on the asphalt. To improve learn the CityDriving maps a bit more and understand that you can use the full width of your lane and the opposite lane if it's safe to do so.

In relation to the poor driving line, was poor gearing. Choosing the wrong gears for corners and simply not shifting down when it was required caused you to under steer quite heavily on pretty much every long turn. As explained to you in the session, you need to shift down through the gears to help the steering in long corners. You were just driving around in a high gear and the car was under steering. Shifting down and keeping the RPM high will give you a better throttle response and push more power down to the rear wheels so you can get around the bend with ease. Mastering this easy technique will help you greatly, so consider this the most important improvement.

Your reactions were not too bad, but on several occasions you would almost take a wrong turn as you were not being aware of the suspects intentions. To improve, look at the road ahead and sight out possible turns that the suspect could take (refer to my first point about learning the CityDriving maps). Leave a larger gap when approaching turns like these so you have time to brake. Also, if for whatever reason the suspect does make a u-turn, it's in your best interest to spin your car around as quickly and safely as possible. This can be done by a sharp turn to your chosen direction, pulling the handbrake to break traction and a small blip of the throttle (be aware of tyre temperatures). This may help you as you did lose quite a bit of ground on the suspect when you were making a u-turn.

As for your maneuvers, they have potential. You did some solid ones in the session and you even managed to pull off two good corner PITs. Your standard PITs lacked force for the most part. You would chose a bad angle where you are more or less parallel to the suspect and you were not able to put in enough force. Angle your car slightly and make sure the force spins the suspect out fully. Other opportunities were missed by poor judgement and missing the rear of the car by an inch.

Notes: You need to be taking on the advice we give to you in the session as much as you can, it will really help you.

This was your third training, you can't re-apply until further notice. You will be notified by a Supervisor when you can re-take training.

Authorised by Connor.
