Good evening,

We're proud to announce that Mikee will be competing in the Celtic Speed MINI Cooper Cup championship this year having secured himself a scholarship drive with AP Autocentre and the Minimax Motorsport team. He'll be driving a very orange, 1.6 litre, straight-4 MINI Cooper with semi-slicks.

The 2017 championship will consist of 23 rounds, 21 of those rounds will take place at the Knockhill Racing Circuit and 2 of the rounds will take place at Rockingham on the ISSC configuration. The calendar is as follows:

All of the races will be broadcast on Motors TV and we'll keep you up to date with his progress here on the forum, on Facebook and Twitter.

Mikee successfully passed his ARDS test on Wednesday and had his first test session with the car and team at Knockhill today:

Early morning sessions was the standard Scottish weather of heavy rain so was had to learn some sideways skills... Moving on to the afternoon sessions and a dry line started to form so was starting to get the grips of everything apart from when the drive shaft decided to make a brake from the car in the last session.
