This. The developers confirmed that there won't be dedicated servers and they want ETS2MP to be a MMO.

Haha, but too be honest i can understand them to some extent. If they release a dedicated server most people would jump on their own servers and would abandon the main server. Could possibly ruin the quite decent feeling of always having people around wherever you go.

I liked TDU1 it was just stupid hard to find your group if you were in a populous area. Miss that game

Yeah well the upside or downside, depends how good your rig is, you are always in the same session. So if all 2500 trucks are in one city then you will see them all, in theory.
