You didn't even attempt to brake though... plus, you didn't say sorry. Your excuse on the server wasn't that you were drunk and couldn't control your car, but that your brakes failed. It just doesn't make sense to me, as you want a second chance, but you're not sorry for crashing into that guy and ruining his chase.
