Couple from the Micra Rally Car.

Not had the best of luck with it, but last weekend we were 2 seconds off 1st in 1400cc class and 9th overall (out of 60 cars) going into the last run and broke a CV halfway through

Previous event we would have finished 7th overall, 2nd in class (semi-Expert), 2nd 1400cc, but picked up a fail - so finished 18th overall (out of 60 cars).

Having a new Gearbox and a new paddle clutch ready for a Sprint in 3 weeks time as a standard Road Clutch lasted me 3 events..

Park it facing the sun It saves me 5-10 minutes of scraping everyday and the car is somewhat faster to warm up too.

Jimmy, get something to cover up your windows, something like a blanket or something. Or park it in the garage.

Luckily I have a Defa engine heater with a 230V interior branch, and a parking spot with a 230V power outlet. (For some foreigners, ~230 volts is what you get from any standard one-phase wall socket in Finland.)

I have a 1,5 kilowatt (adjustable) interior heater which reduces the need of scraping windows quite a lot. Also makes for a much comfier ride before the engine has warmed enough to heat the cabin. A must have in the winters of Finland.
