Just gotta be in the right place at the right time.
I don't plan on driving this for more than 4 months.
Damn Blade, you are a lucky man, you should have played the lottery that night
Here's all the damage to the UPS truck
Thankful to be alive. Could have been much worse. I currently cannot drive or walk (with my right leg). Using crutches or a cane I can move around. Going to miss work for a while. I've never been one of those sue happy Americans but I'm hoping UPS will pay some money to cover my lost wages and medical etc. This stinks!
Your car damage vs the damage on the UPS truck is just wow, how strong is that UPS van/truck? Glad you came out alive, thats the most important after all
Torque and HP? Looks nice!

Little update. Purchased a replacement. $39,500 out the door, hopefully the settlement will cover most of it.

No you don't need to "weld" anything. You'll probably blow through that little bit of metal. They are called C Clips.
Looks like you need front main seals too btw...

Could be that but make it more secure by one weld dot, i know i need a new seals now gonna check tomorow under again how its looks its dry and cleaned
Seriously, Dizzle, you're just a mechanic. Dahell do you know about cars.
It isn't attached solid in the first place for a reason.
It wasn't attached solid and now it's come loose! The obvious answer is to weld it on for extra bonus strength! Amazing how the original engineers at Volvo never thought of this neat trick...

After the amount of years and Kms this car has, that c-clip probably broke from rust. Had this happen on my dads car aswell, happened also when i removed mine when i was changing my wastegate
Common problem, just get a new one if you dont want to go hillbilly on it with the welder
