So I am playing [TC], when suddenly:

At first, I found it a bit funny, but then suddenly this happens:

I can imagine someone is confused and thinks I am the one who crashed him or her.
I already asked the user why he did that, and the only response is "<3"
So I said I am looking for a girlfriend instead of a boyfriend, but is there something that can be done about it?

Thanks,

[CSR] Maarten_E / [CSR] Marty [COP], uuh, [MED] Wink
I don't exactly understand what the issue is here. I pressume it has something to do with 2 Marty's?

It's a user (normally he is called byEdoo) who called himself [CSR] Marty [COP] when I am online, while he's not in [CSR], and not called Marty either.

It's really confusing I'm afraid.
He should not be using affiliate team tags when he's not officially in that team.

Okay, so just ask him to stop copying me?
Speak to him yourself first. If he continues to use the tag despite you telling him not to, feel free to file a forum report and it will be dealt with from there.
Just to point out, we can't actually take action for people imitating any other team apart from [TC] since it's not our responsibility, we can however ask them to remove it for you if your attempt does not get through.
Talk to him before I do it.

Don't fully agree with your statement here, although i understand your point. IMO officially affiliated teams (those who has been here for years and has their own forum section) should be protected underneath the wings of TC. Not as harsh punishment as for using TC tags, but yet punishable.
Technically if they fail to do so after being asked my an admin, it would fall under 9.1 perhaps?
If he is online again, I will ask if he can remove it.
Again, it's not the whole time he does that, but I know his "real" name, so it should be quite easy to ask.

Thanks for the replies, I'll let you know! Smile

We don't allow people to wear the [TC] tag because it might confuse new players who then think that person is an admin. Someone wearing a [GLOW], [6S], [CSR], [TT], DB tag doesn't really affect anything so the most we can do really is ask for them to remove it, then if they refuse we can do them for not abiding by rule 9.1, not directly for wearing an affiliate team tag.
