Wacky Races - Results and standings

1. General Information

The idea is to have 5 short races with rather awkward and weird handling setups that are supposed to be very difficult to drive.

The event will be on the 11. January 2014 - 19:00 GMT+0.
Click for current Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

The Event will be free, but donations are welcome. Send your donations to Pipa [lfsusername : pipa]. Thank You Smile

2. Track, laps and setup

1. XFG - rollover on Aston Cadet Reverse - 5 laps [AS1R]

2. RAC - nightmare on Blackwood Grand Prix - 3 laps [BL1]

3. XFG - wobble on Westhill - 3 laps [WE1]

4. Lx6 - spasm on South City Chicane Route - 3 laps [SO6]

5. FXO - driving like mikee on Kyoto National - 3 laps [KY2R]

Every race people will get points if they finish high enough. Winner will be the person with the highest amount of points

After the event has finished the organizers will make sure that everyone has used the proper setup and we will wait for any reports of misbehaviour before announcing the final standings.

3. Organisation

In order to make sure that people who cheat get punished accordingly, we will introduce a new security deposit.
The event itself will be free, but when you sign up you will need to send 5000€ insim euros to Pipa [lfsusername: pipa].
If you turn up and do not try to cheat by using a different setup, those 5000€ will be returned to you shortly after the event has finished and all protests have been done.

Cheating by using a different setup : Loss of 5000€

Not turning up (does not apply to reserve racers): Loss of 1000€

Breaking other event rules can also result in the loss of your security deposit, so make sure you have read the rules properly.
Every punishment will be up to the discretion of the event organisation team.

Fines will go towards the prize pool consisting of donations

3.1 Pre Race

24 hours before the race, we will send you the password and setups for the race. Make sure you have the setups ready when the event starts. Practise is encouraged Smile.

The event will start at 19:00 GMT+0, but the servers will be open at least 30mins before that.
If you fail to be there on 19:00 GMT+0 a reserve racer might have taken your spot.
Click for current Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

If you are late and nobody has taken your spot, you are free to join the event, but you will have to wait till we allow you to do so.

3.2 Race

We will announce the setup for the race and then start gridstacking you.
Make sure you are present and don't make everyone wait.
There will be minimal talking during the gridstack.

The grid order will be as followed.

1st Race : First come, first serve. Basicly who can click "join" the fastest will be ahead of everyone.
2nd Race : Inverted race order from the 1st race
3rd Race : First come, first serve. Basicly who can click "join" the fastest will be ahead of everyone.
4th Race : Inverted race order from the 3rd race
5th Race : First come, first serve again.

If you fail to put your car on the grid in time, you will start from the back or won't start at all.

Restarts will only be done in extreme situations and up to the race officials to decide.
You are not part of that decision, so arguing about it will not be necessary.

During the race, reset will be enabled. However it is only to be used when your car is stuck and you are unable to move. If you can not reset your car then you may either wait in that spot or spectate.

3.3 Post Race

We will have a protest thread open to report any misbehaviour you come across. May that be wrong use of setup or failing to abide any other rule. But be adviced that since this is a fun event we will be very lenient with people causing accidents.
Once the protest thread has been opened you have exactly 20 hours to make a protest.

We will also open nominations for the Best Crash Competition.

4. Rules

1. Have Fun - As you might have noticed this is a fun event, so don't take this too seriously.

2. Expect problems - The setups are supposed to be a nightmare so expect to be taken out by other players. Have a laugh about it and continue.

3. No Drama - If you accidently get taken out - deal with it. Some examples what we do not want to see: "wtf idiot" or "OMG WTF"

4. Drive cleanly - Obviously accidents will happen, but don't ruin other peoples fun on purpose and try to keep it as clean as possible.

5. Rejoin the track safely - If you happen to go off the track (behind the white lines), then be careful when rejoining the track. If necessary wait till it's clear to rejoin.

6. Sign Up, Turn Up - If you have signed up for this event make sure you can attend, otherwise just sign up as a reserve racer.

7. Be quiet if told - There will be times where the organisation requires you to listen and keep the chat clean. So if we ask you to be quiet then do so.

8. Listen to us - If we feel the need to introduce new rules during the event, then follow them aswell.

9. Minimal arguing - All arguments that you might have can be sorted after the race.

10. Reset - Only reset your car if you are stuck and can not continue without it. A heavily damaged car that moves is not a valid reason.

11. Max Ping of 200ms - As this event is bound to have contact between a lot of cars, we can not allow people with bad latency to ruin the event. If your ping exceeds 200ms you will be asked to leave.

12. Use the correct setup - We will check the setups of each person after the race, to make sure they weren't cheating. If you fail to use the correct setup you are disqualified from the whole event.

13. Do not rejoin - Once the race has started you will not be allowed to join the track.

If you fail to abide those rules, we will punish you accordingly.

5. Best Crash Competition

After the race has finished we will post all replays and open nominations for the best crash competition. Every person can nominate one crash. The five most nominated crashes will be turned into a .gif(moving picture) and you decide per vote who caused the best crash.

Nomination template and rules will be posted in the specific crash, but please note that a crash can not be on purpose and the person can not be disqualified from the event.

The donations will be split as such among the 5 lucky or unlucky people:

1. 40%
2. 30 %
3. 15 %
4. 10 %
5. 5 %

NOTE: I get my rota for work a week in advance and have a nasty habit of working Fri/Sat/Sun evenings. I will confirm a week in advance (ample time to find a replacement or notify a reserve) if I can make the event. Is this ok?
