Yeah that's the rookie license, do the rookie MX-5 Cup, then next season when you get the D license you will be able to do different series, currently CL people and I are doing the Skip Barber, but eventually I'd like to transfer into the IMSA series and drive the RUF

I personally believe the monthly payment system should've lived and died with WoW imho.
Or stayed on with F2P things instead.
Obviously until you play and experience it, you can't really comment on the pricing because I don't think most people understand how it's ran. Every single server is a properly hosted dedicated iRacing server. Every single person you race against is another real person, there's no AI. It's not like assetto corsa where there's mod support and you can host your own server. The way the whole site runs is purely for competitive sim racing. I generally hate games with monthly charges but as expensive as iRacing is (wish it were cheaper), I believe it's pretty justified. What I don't like however, is the extra cost of vehicles on top of the monthly subscription, especially with the recent monthly price change as they added Rallycross free content.
Unless you're serious about sim racing, iRacing simply isn't for you, but for those that are, you'll find yourself loving it. There's nothing like it out there, as far as physics, level of detail in tracks and cars, it's just the best there is, and that's also why people will pay the monthly cost. If there were a cheaper, better form of iRacing, it would be miles popular, but imo nothing comes close.
Me and adam (the red Target paint schemed car ahead) decided to do some Dallara Dash for a giggle. Turns out Adam is a fantastic snow plow impersonator.
After about 3 years of not paying for iRacing, decided to give it another go, seems way better than last time i played.
Connected the Oculus and started to prepare for IMSA Sportscar Championship with the Merc AMG GT3.
Track is ok but never liked it personally, especialy not for the gt3s.
