Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2015-12-28 23:57 Anyone able to give me a hand and tell me which one of these is the best, I'm clueless when it comes to monitors. RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Pete - 2015-12-29 00:20 24" LED HDMI 1080p? Easy: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00UHAX95G/ref=dp_ob_neva_mobile RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2015-12-29 00:25 I had a look at that, though it had a 4ms response time? RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Pete - 2015-12-29 00:44 What you lose in response time you gain through a crisp, vivid display. Are you really going to notice a 3ms difference? No. RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Dowpy - 2015-12-29 05:27 I bought the ASUS VG248QE 24" last week and i couldn't be happier, do NOT get a 60hz monitor, the difference between 144 and 60 is MASSIVE. I was in shock for like 10 minutes when i first played csgo on 144hz. Response time is meh, but hz isn't RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Chuck - 2015-12-29 08:39 If you have the choice, go for *correction: 1200 is the common value RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Borja - 2015-12-29 09:34 I don't understand too much about monitors , but i recommend you little and better monitor than a big and low specs one. I have one monitor of 29" , and for games , its a little big. RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Adorable - 2015-12-29 09:39 Go for the 144Hz monitor. I overclocked my monitor from 60Hz to 75Hz and there is a noticeable difference. Only go for 60Hz if you haven't got a powerfull computer that could generate 144fps. RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Owl - 2015-12-29 11:20 If you are looking for ultra smooth gameplay, I would look for a monitor with G-Sync knowing that you have a GTX 980. I would go for this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Predator-XB270HAbprz-Monitor-Displayport/dp/B00LX2J17W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451387887&sr=8-1&keywords=g+sync+monitor+1080p RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2015-12-29 14:26 Completely forgot G-sync was a thing, decision was made so much tougher! RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2015-12-29 14:58 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-g2460fq-24-1920x1080-tn-widescreen-144hz-1ms-gaming-led-monitor-black-mo-024-ao.html Anyone know what that will be like? 144hz, 1ms RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2015-12-30 13:48 I have a question, if I get a 144hz monitor and drop below 144fps, won't it be all juddery? How do people avoid that? RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Piro - 2015-12-30 15:06 fjgsdlkgfjskjl RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Rooztez - 2015-12-30 16:29 Dont know your budget, but this seems a pretty good choise, but if your budget is lower then this or that look like good choises. All of these have 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate. RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2015-12-30 19:53 Monitor ordered, thanks for all the help guys! RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Elmo - 2015-12-31 02:19 Don't get a 1080p monitor any bigger than 24" unless you have bad eyesight or it's going a long way away. Any larger really needs at least 1440p (depending on size of course) RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Pete - 2015-12-31 02:42 (2015-12-30 19:53)Shikari Wrote: Monitor ordered, thanks for all the help guys! Which did you go for? RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2015-12-31 02:46 I went with this one: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-g2460fq-24-1920x1080-tn-widescreen-144hz-1ms-gaming-led-monitor-black-mo-024-ao.html Nice and cheap with decent specs, reviews seemed positive about it too (not just the ones on that site), went for a cheaper one as I'm planning on getting a G-Sync monitor in the summer (IF prices become reasonable). RE: Recommend me a monitor/what one of these are the best? - Sam - 2016-01-01 23:26 warning to anyone that wants their delivery to arrive on time and have decent customer service, don't go with overclockers haha, paid for next day delivery and its now 2/3 days late. Such a bad company. Such a bad company. Me and my brother always purchase our parts and stuff from Scan. I found your monitor here I think: Scan It looks to be a little cheaper too, not much though. Never had any problems from them. |
