RE: Show us your RC! - bullet - 2012-03-07 14:12

RE: Show us your RC! - Tom - 2012-03-07 14:21

yes Smile and also the rims are 8 or 10 inch alloys

Edit: it also has a top speed of about 50mph i think not to sure Biggrin never tested as after about 35 mph it really is loud and you can hear a few streets away easy lol

RE: Show us your RC! - Liam :P - 2012-03-07 16:37

Tom, that looks like a marder clone! might be able to get some upgrades for it.

RE: Show us your RC! - Tom - 2012-03-07 21:30

nah its the FG monster but the engine was changed from a 23cc to 26cc and had twin exhaust on at one point, plus a new receiver with a few hundred meters cover

RE: Show us your RC! - Makee - 2012-03-07 21:38

RE: Show us your RC! - Blade3562 - 2012-03-07 21:58

Had/have a bunch of those little super slicks, several mini cooler RCA including a gynormous one almost big enough to ride lol. Couple others had sad and shorter lives lol.

RE: Show us your RC! - Mobsine - 2012-03-08 16:22

i'd really used some leds as lights for such a truck Smile
It looks like a real monster! Biggrin

RE: Show us your RC! - Saphira - 2012-03-08 17:15

LoL

RE: Show us your RC! - Liam :P - 2012-03-09 19:17

Tom, what Receiver and transmitter you using? In my tt01 thread you can see my spectrum dx3e!

Also i hope, your running a failsafe or a killswitch. And 2.4ghz, if not atleast get a failsafe, as if you get interferance or lose range it shuts the engine off and does full brakes.

RE: Show us your RC! - Kyllone - 2012-03-09 19:39

I have a REALLY old electric RC car. Its not been working for years and its quite dirty at the moment so I'm not going to take it out from its package and take a screenshot but the model is this;

RE: Show us your RC! - McGherkin - 2012-03-09 21:03

I have a few RC's. 2 cheap off-the-shelf models that I never got round to upgrading (Impreza WRC 2001 and Ferrari 599GTB), plan was to fit massive motors to 'em and drift them.

Then I have a RC hovercraft, which is kinda fun but really it's for retrieving this:

(facebook pics, apologies if they don't work Sad)

My grandfather built her over 20 years ago. She's a model of an RNLI Oakley Class lifeboat, built at 1:12 scale (1 inch on the model is 1 foot on the real boat), 2x 550 motors, beefy ass lead acid battery (not the battery in the first pic Tongue), ancient ESCs and a new Zebra 4 channel radio. Unfortunately lately it seems the wood (proper wooden hull, everything's accurate) is starting to degrade and I think she'll have to become static from now on. Sad

RE: Show us your RC! - Liam :P - 2012-03-09 21:10

You could get that thing running nicely, a modern 2.4ghz radio, 2 new brushless watercooled motors, and escs. Also couldn't you just revarnish the shell?

RE: Show us your RC! - McGherkin - 2012-03-09 21:19

No, the actual wood is starting to disintegrate. Therefore she's been repainted and cased.

The actual RC bits and bobs, despite them being as old as the hills, actually do a pretty good job, she goes at an accurate speed and has tons of torque for pulling things. I took them all out though, since she's no longer seaworthy she won't be needing them.

RE: Show us your RC! - Turkey - 2012-03-10 00:07

Beautiful boat, McG.

RE: Show us your RC! - Jon - 2012-03-10 00:17

RE: Show us your RC! - Liam :P - 2012-03-10 08:02

Shame about that! @Luffydu35 Get a new motor?

RE: Show us your RC! - luffydu35 - 2012-03-10 20:56

no...i don't have the time to play with it and i don't really want to buy a new motor...
i don't have earth area to play with it even if my father is farmer xD so i play on asphalt and i'm always burning tyres...
i want to repare my motor without change it but i think it will be impossible...
