Currently working on the FXO gauges. RE: Raw Screenshots - Venom - 2014-12-28 13:10 My edits: RE: Raw Screenshots - Borja - 2014-12-28 17:42 And what you edit in XFG one? Other looks good. A bit more of progress... : RE: Raw Screenshots - Sam - 2014-12-28 20:44 Can someone explain to me how you make the actual textures, how do you know what size to make them? Are their any templates ect, how do you do the fancy stuff when the car turns on, or anyone willing to share? (I won't edit or redistribute them) RE: Raw Screenshots - Marty - 2014-12-28 22:02 I don't get that either, love to edit those, but I just don't know where to start... RE: Raw Screenshots - Sam - 2014-12-29 00:53 It's not that part that I don't understand, its the making of the .jpg for the cluster/dash/dials that I don't get RE: Raw Screenshots - Borja - 2014-12-29 10:45 (2014-12-28 23:05)Marty Wrote: I cant click on anything in the options, very weird.. Oh i just edited the RPM meter texture a bit and removed the "max speed/RPM reached" feature, which is not possible to see on that picture. Thanks, yours looks cool too Quote:It's not that part that I don't understand, its the making of the .jpg for the cluster/dash/dials that I don't get The texture info is placed in LFSLazy\Gauges\[Car] folder, there you can see many textures, including background and other separted parts. Edit a texture in photoshop or any other professional software, i use Photoshop, quite easy to edit after a while. Just a tip, in many cars top part of the texture is used for the speedometer/RPM meter part, bottom texture part is used for other parts of the dashboard. Well theres not any more tip i can add because its all about the editing you do. RE: Raw Screenshots - K.Karlsson - 2014-12-29 19:53 Venom, are you willing to share one of yours? $$$$ RE: Raw Screenshots - Venom - 2014-12-29 21:51 (2014-12-29 19:53)K.Karlsson Wrote: Venom, are you willing to share one of yours? $$$$ Why not, I have made MRT realistic looking dash allready, tomorrow I might head into making one for FZ5. If enough people would want it I could create a pack of dashes for all the cars. RE: Raw Screenshots - Sam - 2014-12-30 02:57 Had a go at skinning tonight, well more sticking logos on a car and one orange/red bar, still very frustrating to use photoshop. If anyone has any advice on how to do more advance stuff, like creating shapes and stuff or can point me in the right direction would be muchly appreciated as I've no idea how to start right now, I did this using the "making a basic cop skin" thread on here haha RE: Raw Screenshots - Dracula - 2014-12-30 03:58 I would personally suggest starting and finishing a few basic/intermediate tutorials with Photoshop unrelated to skinning to get used to shortcuts, and to learn your way around the program itself. That's not to say you can't learn things with the cop/general skinning tutorials, but it would help immensely if you're having trouble with getting around PS in my opinion. Some info you may like to look into (which you will more than likely use while skinning): Spoiler (Click to View) - Drac RE: Raw Screenshots - Borja - 2014-12-30 11:57 I finish my XRT one , it need abit of fixs , but its practicaly finised RE: Raw Screenshots - Toni - 2014-12-30 12:45 (2014-12-30 02:57)Shikari Wrote: If anyone has any advice on how to do more advance stuff, like creating shapes and stuff or can point me in the right direction would be muchly appreciated as I've no idea how to start right now, I did this using the "making a basic cop skin" thread on here haha If you need something, just ask (Im not a PS pro though, i use Gimp myself.) RE: Raw Screenshots - Toni - 2014-12-30 15:41 Meh. RE: Raw Screenshots - Sam - 2014-12-30 16:37 Made another attempt at a skin today, think I have improved, thanks for all the help and useful links! |
