If it's Nvidia, it'll fail at some point, except for if it's after August 2008. What resolution is the screen? And how much did you pay, if I may ask? For gaming I got my desktop here =P Paid ~160€ for the Notebook + a bag for it (Notebook is in superb condition, only a few really small scratches on the backside of the display, nothing else. The "scratches" are just normal usage-markers RE: Something New You've Got... - Cola - 2013-05-31 21:40 (2013-05-31 21:24)Michi Wrote:(2013-05-31 18:39)Cola Wrote: Is it Intel, ATI og Nvidia graphics? Intel graphics are always preferred on especially the older T40 and T60-series laptops, as the ATI and Nvidia ones generally has got a high rate of failure. It's sad about the screen though. 1440x900 definitely would've been a plus! The price is pretty good, especially if it's in a good condition. It should last for many years I've got a T61 too. It's got the Nvidia NVS140M though, so there's artifacts on the screen. The specs are good though. 14'' 1440x900, 3GB ram, T7300. It'll go from looking like this: to this in around 10 mins: RE: Something New You've Got... - Kayla - 2013-05-31 21:53 Oh, that is bad indeed ... doesn't the oven-trick work there? The oven trick will do the job, but it's only temporary. It may last days, weeks, months, but it'll never fix it completely. :/ Only reason is to get a motherboard fom 08/08 or newer. They are rare though, expensive too. RE: Something New You've Got... - Blade3562 - 2013-05-31 23:32 Small bumpers 2 caps were broken and I got 3 of the same lol. He's going to fix the problem!
