RE: Something New You've Got... - Kyllone - 2014-01-22 17:36 That epic chair bro D How was it? RE: Something New You've Got... - Cola - 2014-01-22 17:50 Got a new cable for my mouse. The sleeving and rubber shielding had fallen off the old one. Opened up the mouse, disconnected everything, cut the cables, sliced open the old ones, sliced open the new one, joined them together and soldered them, and put all of it back together. Went really well, and I'm pretty happy with the result: And here's how the connection between the inside and outside of the mouse looks. I chose to just do a clean cut through the soft plastic holder, and then insert the new cable. Just for reference, here's what the old cable look like: Some parts was 'fixed' with duct tape, and others have the rubber exposed: (Click to View) RE: Something New You've Got... - Cyanide Christ - 2014-01-22 17:54 (2014-01-22 17:50)Cola Wrote: snip Epic m1 mate RE: Something New You've Got... - Bez - 2014-01-22 18:00 Why didn't you just buy a new mouse Cola? RE: Something New You've Got... - RedJohn - 2014-01-22 18:25 Why buy a new one when the mouse is working and only the cable that must be changed ? RE: Something New You've Got... - Johan. - 2014-01-22 18:27 Plus all you have to do is reconnect a double wire, easy peasy. RE: Something New You've Got... - Cola - 2014-01-22 18:36 There's four wires in a USB cable, Johan. RE: Something New You've Got... - Bez - 2014-01-22 18:57 Meh I would have just bought a new one if it was me, and keep the old for spares RE: Something New You've Got... - Johan. - 2014-01-22 18:58 (2014-01-22 18:36)Cola Wrote: There's four wires in a USB cable, Johan. Maybe I meant a double cable of 2, wich makes 4. RE: Something New You've Got... - Blade3562 - 2014-01-22 20:41 New hard drive and graphics card for our desktop. It's amazing how far technology has come. This card has 4 times the memory of the old one and the hard drive 12 times as much memory of the original one this thing came with a few years ago. RE: Something New You've Got... - Weelob - 2014-01-22 22:15 Ordering this on friday when I get my paycheck: RE: Something New You've Got... - Bez - 2014-01-23 00:11 (2014-01-22 22:15)Weelob Wrote: Ordering this on friday when I get my paycheck: Who don't you wait for the 1080p version to become a test kit??? I've heard the space between the pixels is very bad on the original 720p version. 720 left 1080 right RE: Something New You've Got... - Weelob - 2014-01-23 00:15 The release date is still unknown other than "in a couple of months" so no RE: Something New You've Got... - Pete - 2014-01-23 13:04 I would wait for the 1080p version Weelob. The 720p one made me feel ill after about an hour. If you just want it for playing around with or actual dev then fine, but don't expect to be able to do any proper gaming with it. RE: Something New You've Got... - Kayla - 2014-01-23 13:14 I've tested the Rift on the 30c3 (30th Chaos Communication Congress) one of the assemblies there had a Rift combined with Google Streetview pictures and a Bike, so you could virtually ride a bike on the golden gate bridge. I felt ill and dizzy after 30 seconds max. xD RE: Something New You've Got... - Weelob - 2014-01-23 13:21 Hmm, more and more people are telling me the same as you guys. I will reconsider it and maybe wait for the new model. RE: Something New You've Got... - Roba - 2014-01-23 14:39 I tested out my friends Rift once, as he got it when it was released. Started to feel seriously bad, headache and dizzyness after a few minutes of playing some game.. I don't recommend it for gaming either. Just a little toy to play with every once and a while for short periods at a time. RE: Something New You've Got... - Blade3562 - 2014-01-23 17:28 That's what I'm waiting for is the 1080 version. Now I've been waiting since I saw a euro truck sim use of it.
