Just a shame Windows 8 doesnt have that....

RE: Extra FPS - Stephen - 2014-01-23 05:40

With that option enabled I was getting about 260 fps, with it disabled (aero enabled) I was getting 250.. Not much of a difference for me.

If you look at the pit garages on kyoto you might get lucky to have 600 fps.

RE: Extra FPS - Viper - 2014-01-23 08:55

Been using this on my games for a while. I also disable the desktop visual themes as this sometimes interferes with multi-displays too, in my experience.

Brag time: I have 400fps+ at all times :3

If you have over 60/75 fps then you need to be using VSync unless you want to shorten the life of your GPU, jus' sayin'.

Well my GPU is screwed then haha, i love having games run 100+ really dislike any lower Tongue

I average (depending what texture pack on the track) around 300-400FPS

how you manage to get higher than me is beyond me....

Unless you bought some special display (like 3d or so) the display will refresh at 60 Hz. That's 60 frames per second, limited physically. Anything above that is a complete waste of resources. No living being or hi-speed camera can tell the difference as the extra frames will just get discarded and will never be send to the display.

RE: Extra FPS - Frozen - 2014-01-24 22:14

Indeed, thats why my LFS is locked at 62.5 FPS, higher than that theres no any difference, some people love to see the number displaying 300.0 , but well, just a waste of card.

RE: Extra FPS - THE WIZARD DK - 2014-04-26 07:30

Thanks for this Chuck, gotta admit i knew this could be done, but never use it as my games works fine on win 8.1. Bez... on windows 8 , the option is the option to downscale DPI . it does work,i got fps increase by 20-30%, however, if you use ENB series, it also will disable it in win 8.

i recommend all windows 8 users to upgrade to windows 8.1 which brings your windows back to a USEABLE state as win7 or earlier version. for the bought versions atleast. win 8.1 is free on microsoft store. 3.20GB !
HIGHLY recoomend it. (get start back etc...)

I agree withh Frozen on the FPS. your eyes cant really see any difference between 30-60fps. so getting 300fps, means your game runs smooth but as for your eyes.. they only see about 60 of those anyway.. waste of power and card as Frozen said Wink

(that goes for any game or video motion picture you watch on any screen...)

RE: Extra FPS - Chuck - 2014-05-18 20:58

lil bump

RE: Extra FPS - GT4tube - 2014-05-19 19:11

121 fps to 123 fps blackwood and 11 cars... No difference. I am power GPU and CPU well...
Who slow computer or laptop u can do it! Tongue

@Pete Yes true.
@Frozen Yes.

Best turn on V-Sync is limit fps will low watt. (Your monitor HZ 60-75hz).
V-Sync got 128w on Resident Evil 5.
Off V-Sync got 160w.
If no V-Sync more extra fps = More Watt - waste of power and card (as Frozen said!!!) Tongue

LFS tested:
V-Sync - 83watt (60fps)
100 fps limit - 115w
No V-Sync - 126w (180 fps)

I have Wattmeter! xD I did tested.

really why extra fps is more watt...

ETS2:
150-165w with GPU OC. (40-65fps)

My school has this set on the new computers and it really makes the whole system so snappy!

Thanks so much for the find!

The low FPS Problem should be fixed in the next lfs patch, since they made "paths" for open configs.
