Quickly did another one this morning. Been working on this solo for a long time, recorded it on the first attempt which I am quite happy with Smile

Not perfect but hey, it's a hard song and solo Biggrin

I should really put some Bass covers up, I've got 300-400+ songs in a playlist I can play and haven't made a single video! Tongue

How do you make your covers sound so good then, Luke? Do you record it through your PC?

I don't have a direct mic up or jack into the computer, I use the sound from the camera mixed in with a high quality recorder on my phone placed at a certain point near my Amp Smile

The phone provides the lower frequencies, the Camera provides the video and the higher frequencies. It means it is a pain in the arse to edit and sync but you get better results out of it I suppose Smile

Ah okay. So how would you record the song, is it from the computer I suppose?

And I guess the sound would be the same with a bass, lower frequencies from phone, higher from the camera. I suppose I'll need to buy a high quality camera then..

You're playing well Luke, continue Smile

RE: Your Youtube Creations - Matt - 2014-07-17 05:29

Luke, what you may want to consider is running everything through a mixing desk then running that via the headphone jack (adapters where necessary) to the 3.5mm microphone jack-works perfectly for me, but try not to have too much pre amp on the desk, otherwise the buzz gets a bit high...

But I've currently got 3/4 channels free-so I can pretty much play bass, let my sister commentate on how many times I'd fail my drive test, speak with my own mic and run a line in...earfarts away.

RE: Your Youtube Creations - Luke - 2014-07-17 10:33

Yeah then the equipment starts to get expensive Tongue

The way I used to do it is use just my phone for the sound and a webcam. Place the phone on the floor (this is not the best sound but it's the best balance between low and high through 1 mic) Should work for bass Smile
As for the song, I play it out through my computer so the mic's actually pick it up but only just so then it makes it easier for me to sync the videos etc. I then just copy over the song I was playing on the video edit (I use Sony Vegas) and play it slightly in the background underneath my performances.

Cheers Val, I certainly will Smile

Check your URL before you try to embed it; seems like [video=youtube] doesn't support videos from a video collection list. For example, cut the &list=xx from the URL and embed your video. That way it should work and be viewable.
