How about the user is pulled over they are forced to pay a police fine eg: 300 euros fine then is forced to update his/hers tax and insurance information. If the user fails to update the information (buy insurance and tax) they will be spectated and will loose their current trip. Then the cycle starts over again.

The cops could also have to buy the ANPR kit for their car/s lets say around 10k.

I think if Chuck could implement how safe of a driver you are the lower your insurance costs per month or annual. That would guide people towards driving safely rather than careless. (Also I want Nick's and Special's insurance costs to go through the roof Biggrin)
Agreed on this.

Service is indeed different from Insurance. I'm sure Chuck can take this raw idea and make something fun and new out of it. After all, the point is to add more realism and actually have something to spend your money on.

RE: TAX / Insurance - Connor - 2014-09-06 17:25

I'd really not like to over-complicate things regarding the InSim (as stated in various other idea threads).

If the implementation of paying for services like pit stops, simulating a 'garage' sort of thing, that would be enough to add more realism, and it would give you something to spend your money on.

Sure, it would give the Police something else to pull them over for, but it could prove to be too complicated to implement. Again, I like the simplicity of the InSim, there's already a touch of realism in it, and besides, it's only a game, right?

RE: TAX / Insurance - Matt - 2014-09-06 17:43

I'm willing to agree with the insurance side (less crashes=lower insurance premiums) but, for sake of fun, the idea of road tax (actually vehicle excise duty, which is emissions based) would mean people would be forced to drive slower (potentially more boring) cars...which sucks.

I am aware they are different things. What I'm trying to say is paying for services is enough and shouldn't pay for other stuff as it would be a bit ott. Anyway faster people will have advantages as they will be able to get away from cops most of the time and get away with paying for tax.

RE: TAX / Insurance - Kyllone - 2014-09-07 00:26

Just no I mean c'mon.... When I do find a gap in my life to go and have fun ingame with my teammates for example for fricking 2 hours, I want to use that time either copping or blasing around in a quick car.

To pay fricking "services" to keep the goddamn condition up etc. is enough for me, who hasn't got all of their life to go and earn money to pay stupid taxes. I know this may sound rough but thats what it is infact.

Btw, if you want realism, you can pay my car insurance IRL, I got no problem with that.

This is really not a good idea at all (I'm sorry) especially for someone like me who barely has time to come ingame and enjoy driving around. I don't want to use all my money to pay a tax or a insurance as I berzerk-rage every time the REAL car insurance bill comes to my mailbox.

I would be with this one
I was thinking if there is insurance then there would be court with it if someone like crash's you.you could send them a 48hour notice for him to go to court?
I don't really know how would this work but it is a good Idea (well for me it is) and if the insurance or tax is expired the police could confiscate the car?

well +1
for the original idea

And It would be cool if the insurance cost varied for how many km your traveled

£1900 a year...for a 'slightly modified' 1.2...

RE: TAX / Insurance - RickVTEC - 2014-10-11 16:50

I like this idea but in my opinion the amount of tax/insurance must be as the car we drive.

Example: UF1 is free
XFG: 500 for insurance and 100 for tax
FZ5: 2000 for insurance and 500 for tax

RE: TAX / Insurance - Sadie - 2014-10-11 18:11

If you crash a lot, it will be more expencive? If you crash less in a period it will be cheaper?

RE: TAX / Insurance - Jimmy - 2014-10-11 18:23

In sweden to have Tax on younger persons like under 24 have to pay it everymonth but if car stands on a parent or like that it will be over a year payment

RE: TAX / Insurance - Dracula - 2014-10-11 23:29

RE: TAX / Insurance - Pinkz - 2014-10-27 13:17

i think theres some potential in the insurance..

RE: TAX / Insurance - Kyle - 2014-10-27 16:26

-1. You already have to pay for a lot of stuff like Traffic stop fines, speedtrap fines, licences etc. And also I think new members would get annoyed by joining the server and then instantly paying for TAX/ Insurence
