RE: Gearbox - SeanProdTV - 2014-11-12 01:34 looks like ETS 2 while using Manual lol RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-12 03:02 (2014-11-11 22:59)Stephen Wrote: Your clutch is slipping a fair bit. Did you machine the flywheel when you put the new clutch in? Ýes we did everything correct while we changed gearbox at sametime RE: Gearbox - Petsu - 2014-11-12 12:03 Well it looks like the clutch is slipping, and its not normal.. RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-12 12:43 Dad have same car as me, he told yesterday its same thing in his golf mk3 + i dont feel anything in steering wheel if something is wrong. Mhe car passed MOT/Inspection anyway so selling it in feb next year then gonna look after a new car. In any case that shouldn't be normal behaviour. (2014-11-12 12:43)Jimmy Wrote: + i dont feel anything in steering wheel if something is wrong. The steering wheel isn't connected to the clutch, mind. Something could be loose or broken in the clutch assy or the flywheel but if you're going to sell the car anyway, perhaps it isn't worth the effort to look into it. RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-12 15:59 That could be true inside can be broken, but i am to lazy fix it next owner can do that to car, but thanks for all quick answares and help. gonna keep drive with it until i sell it next year RE: Gearbox - Brad - 2014-11-13 20:59 Lets hope the person you sell it to asks for a test drive....for their sake. Don't think I could, in good conscience, sell a car to someone knowing full-well it has an expensive problem. RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-13 21:12 They probaly wont notice the problem its runs fine when you dont accelerate so hard RE: Gearbox - BP - 2014-11-13 21:15 Not cool. :/ RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-13 21:19 but i hope it will be stabil at some day, could fix it self if i got lucky while driving the car RE: Gearbox - Juntu - 2014-11-13 21:19 Really not cool :/ RE: Gearbox - Pipa - 2014-11-13 21:30 (2014-11-13 21:19)Juntu Wrote: Really not cool :/ Also illegal in germany and i doubt it's different in sweden. Hope you get caught. RE: Gearbox - Johan. - 2014-11-13 21:31 Dude isnt it kind of a standard thing to check the clutch when you testdrive a car? (3rd gear, pull on the handbrake, and try to drive away, slipping clutches will be revealed guaranteed) RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-13 21:41 get caught for what? now i dont understand. When car inspection test drove the car he said Nothoíng about the clutch, i have only feelt it and my dad but he saying its normal in this way car actings so i just simpel trust him. RE: Gearbox - Brad - 2014-11-13 23:10 From the video it's pretty clear that isn't normal for a manual car. The problem is selling a car to someone without disclosing something you clearly know is wrong (e.g. a slipping clutch)--it's an immoral thing to do (and, as Pipa said, is illegal in many countries). RE: Gearbox - Kyllone - 2014-11-13 23:40 When I bought this piece of shit car I drive currently, the clutch was nearing the end of its life. I didn't somehow spot it when I test drove it and booyah, I had it for 1 *Removed* week and had to replace the *Removed* clutch. The asshole who sold it to me "had no idea" about it. I really hope that the possible new owner for this golf is going to properly test drive it, especially if they are looking for like a first car or something and then turn away and keep looking. That just is not how you solve problems especially expensive as that, by moving them to someone else. Now you either go and repair it or turn the golf into a cube. RE: Gearbox - Blade3562 - 2014-11-14 02:20 I just saw this his clutch is a cable. His clutch is most likely slipping. If you overfill a Volkswagen trans the fluid will leak onto the clutch and cause it to slip. It could also be the pressure plate but I'd assume clutch RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-14 05:07 It could be that blade is saying so i am gonna take look on it soon, se if i can fix it. so dont worry people. RE: Gearbox - Jimmy - 2014-11-14 05:30 Now i remember, we filled up oil into transmission in this summer it could be just simple have got in to much oil and can have come on plate or something. so i am gonna refuild someday when i got time. Afaik here you can lie as much a you want when selling stuff as a private person because lies technically aren't illegal. Once you buy a car from a private person you would jokingly have the "rear light warranty" where after the seller can't see your rear lights anymore he doesn't have any responsibility over the car afterwards. (Note that this isn't a real legal principle.) Only car dealerships have to be truthful about their articles because it's professional business. Although they can still often say that something just broke after you bought the car and it isn't their fault because it wasn't on the car when they sold it (perhaps carefully hidden and not mentioned.) |
