The problem is that cheating in the tests is the easiest ever.

Extra works by [TC]s that none of them is online now to monitor +50players & Tingle to be bypassed easily by the rule breakers (most likely Saudis, who doesn't know what does CityDriving means)

€: Making those tests won't make peoples all of a sudden respect rules Ohmy

Notice the only person against it is the only person currently (or supposed to be) banned.

I like this idea.

Something similar i thought about some time ago was for the new people that commit their first offence, instead of getting a warning/confirmable warning, they have to sit a similar test to the one proposed by tingle in order to carry on playing on the TC servers. They won't get banned but if they fail the test they won't be able to join the track - OR confined to server 2.

It is a realy good idea. I would set there some limit. Means that one person can do the test only 3 times (for example) - then would be issued a longer ban for disrespecting server rules.

Also Don i don´t think that everyone should do those tests. As Tingle wrote, only those who are told to by admin (i am scared i would fail Biggrin)

It would be nice to do this thing working. I hope there will be some great guy who will put in that some free time to make this.

The idea of using videos would help put what seems like more 'complicated' rules into clear perspective, especially for those with language barriers and would therefore still be possible for those who struggle with English to pass the test with basic knowledge of the rules and as a result keep the numbers high in the server.

+1 from me

I really like the idea too. +1 from me.

Sounds like a good idea!

Good idea Tingle,

again not sure how effective it would be, might separate those who are genuinely interested in trying to be on TC from the nooba who are just here to cause grief

Notice how irrelevant and inaccurate that comment was?

Everyone knows the rules, only a specific portion of the people don't. If there were a test for it they will let their friends do it just like how they let their friends do all their other tests for them.

Yes, but that could be solved by limit of those tests. Each person would be able to do those test for limited times. After being told to read rules, and that person has his/her limits gone, he/she would be banned for longer time without a chance to do that test again, or after a while he served his ban. Entire ticket to join back would be that test (the last one) agian and there would be no more chance (to recieve those limits for test) for those who were already banned for this action. So if he/she would not obey the rules again > 1 year or perm ban

I feel you're just trying to bait me into an argument. Notice how obvious that was?
