It's not still google, google has nothing to do with the new maps.

RE: iOS6 Release - Speed - 2012-09-22 11:17

The youtube app is gone because it was from google + the maps are gone.

The picture on the left is the Apple map, the one on the right is the correct one, notice something missing in my town? Smile

I don't understand why Apple is trying to compete with google maps? Google maps already is fully developed, comprehensive and allows users to help contribute to the service through place ratings etc with website links on map locations.

Why attempt to "fix" something that's not broken? Confused

RE: iOS6 Release - Audiojack - 2012-09-24 13:11

It's most likely because Google and Apple are competitors.

RE: iOS6 Release - KaraK - 2012-09-24 13:27

Same reason why they took the YouTube app off, Apple and Google are competitors.

RE: iOS6 Release - Street - 2012-09-24 14:13

Espcially with Android being a major rival to iPhone, Chromium OS which google are looking at, Google removing Chrome support from the latest releases of Mac OS'

Not like it's a really corporate high tech gang war or anything.... No reason to be competing on technology and mapping software or anything.

I use chrome on its and google also has released a YouTube app now(which is the top downloaded free app) dumb apple. I can't wait for my windows tablet. I cannot wait to be less restricted than this POS iPad 2 lol.

If you want a good map app use WAZE. User updated and the maps are very accurate and very currenr(at least stateside)

And now we (and apple) can see why they are so high.

I´m a moron with this tech stuff, but even I saw the drawbacks in updating to IOS6, so I still happily have... err... the one before that. Dunno what it´s called.

Never used the maps though.

Edit: Strange this thread hasn´t turned into a a fanboy fight yet.
