RE: Windows 8 - Chuck - 2012-11-14 16:53 Ah I see. Well that's even worse. I originally had it installed to get the "folder up" button back. I don't know what damn fool at Microsoft is pulling the strings and continuously removes features day by day. Its almost like they're playing Battleship with Windows features. "A10, hit, Start Menu", F4, hit, Up-Button" and so on. RE: Windows 8 - Cola - 2012-11-14 19:52 (2012-11-14 16:53)Chuck Wrote: Ah I see. Well that's even worse. RE: Windows 8 - Chuck - 2012-11-14 20:40 Well either you installed something aswell or they put it back in Windows 8. As you can seen in Elmo's screenshot, its not there in Windows 7. RE: Windows 8 - Cola - 2012-11-14 20:47 Nope, didn't install anything, also, in Windows 7, you can just press the name of the folder you want to go to. Example: Look at my screenshot: If I press the "Windows" text in the bar, It'll take me one step up, if I press "Local disk (C" it'll take me to my C dir, ie. two steps up. RE: Windows 8 - Elmo - 2012-11-14 20:54 Yep, the Up One Level button is back in W8. I never needed it in W7, so I didn't even notice. Following that logic, the start-menu should be back in Windows 9. RE: Windows 8 - Kayla - 2012-11-15 18:22 Okay, just installed Win8 Enterprise ... have to say it's weird to use when you're used to win7 RE: Windows 8 - Patriick - 2014-02-13 14:12 if u wanna use Windows 8 just get the Start8 program for it to get it to work like windows 7 it's the best thing instead of Classic shell etc. using it on my laptop it's very nice. had it on my desktop aswell really liked it but had 1 problem.. my dvd-rw drive didn't work while it's windows 8 ready so that's the reason i had to go back to win 7. RE: Windows 8 - Kille - 2014-02-21 07:25 Dont Upgrade to win8. I bought win 8.1 Pro and then it works fine but when i got new computer and formatted old then my win 8.1 pro didnt work anymore and i returned it to Prisma Shop in Finland. |
