There are jobs out there for English people. The majority of people just chose not to work and live off of the state - another problem all together.

But are most of them people immigrants?!
Gonna stop commenting now before I upset someone or say something wrong.

No, I am talking purely about those British that choose not to work. I agree that people also migrate here to do exactly the same - but with respects to 'people who come here and steal our work', they often do the jobs British people refuse to do.

A great example, where I live there is a large population of eastern Europeans - most of the work in factories/depots for 9 hours a day. Some of them work 9 hours a day for 6 days a week in a hand car wash for minimum wage. How many British people do you see running to jobs like these?

I agree with previous comments to become more strict on immigration (I too like Australia's set-up) but only those who come here to live off of benefits and give nothing back to the state - we have enough of our own doing that..

That is debatable.
Edit: More to the point, I've just read an article about it, that is a *Removed* disgusting attack and I hope the British government get off their ass and start standing up against this shit.

It's a global economy, people (and jobs) are accessible to almost anyone. If a foreign person gets the job, guess what? they have better skills, or are more willing to work for a competitive wage.

It's a competition. If you want to win, you improve your own skills, not try to "rig the game" and get an unfair advantage.

This is a horrific incident, but there is no need for racist comments -- it is clear these two fundamentalists do not hold remotely the same views as the vast majority of Muslims.

However, you don't see fundamentalist Atheists killing in the name of atheism, so I hold my own views on the usefulness of all religions.

Now we have to pay for them to be treated in hospital.

Killing a soldier like that should be treated as it wouldve been long long ago, execution.

Immigrant or not, they are still contributing to the economy and paying their taxes. You can criticize them with their poor English, but you aren't much better yourself to be fair.

Touché

Heard about this on NPR on my drive to the airport. So messed up that someone could kill someone and record it. I can't even fathom how someone could do this.

Killed by weapons bought at the hardwaree store. Guess what the government is going to try to ban next lol.

I also find it funny you guys took this instantly into a racist thing. Grow up. This could have been anyone from anywhere. No need to be rude or mass stereotype. I have plenty of friends from different minorities and many wouldn't hurt a fly. Sure I hate illegal immigrants, but that's a different subject. Legal immigrants really just want to better themselves by moving to a better country.

In unrelated news Obama's drones have been confirmed to kill 4 Americans. Doh.

Imho religion is the cause for almost all grief on earth in the past, present and future. If I were in charge, I'd tear down all churches and equivalents and replace them with schools.

You can't remove religion. It gives people something to believe in. Like a dream of a house a family and a Mercedes. People have always believed in something and until you can somehow prove someone didn't create the universe I'll believe in a supreme being. Earth wasn't a random occurance, someone or something put it there.

So no Chuck is not right unless you think the Nazi and North Korean ways of life are perfect and everythibg discovered by science is made up... I hate ignorance.

Well, religion was created to give answers to the unknowing, long time before there were scientists to answer them and also long before news could be spread efficiently around the planet. However, we got both now, not longer necessary to believe
in some fairy tales. That's also the reason why occult beliefs and religion occurs
the more at the less connected and poorly educated levels of population.
Stating National Socialism as the only alternative to religion basically speaks for itself Wink

To be fair, until you can prove that the scientific knowledge, which provides actual evidence, is wrong, I'll keep believing in science Wink

But, whatever, until religion interferes with politics or peoples freedom, it is fine.

I'd rather believe in science (which isn't necessarily true but the most realistic solution on how earth was formed, evolution etc...), than a fiction book and some "god".

Yes, something called "gravitation" put some particles together to form a bigger mass. The bigger mass pulled even more particles to it, so it got bigger and bigger, and finally a huge mass were formed, called earth. (short form of the story). So, yes, physics put the earth where it is now.

Quote:[...]everythibg discovered by science is made up...
I think he actually believs the contrast to this. The science isn't made up, but religion is. As chuck stated, religion was made to explain the happenings we had no explanation for. Religion IS made up. And in my opinion not neccessary.

Maybe this whole discussion should be put to a stop, before it gets out of hand. Smile

So no Chuck is not right unless you think the Nazi and North Korean ways of life are perfect and everythibg discovered by science is made up... I hate ignorance.

Theres so much wrong in this post - where do i start... Let's start at the end.

1) It's ignorant to ignore new opinions without discussing them, not speaking them out.

2) Where did he say that everything science discovered is wrong? He even implied the complete oposite.

3) In what universe didn't / doesn't the national socialists / kommunists allow religion? That leads me to point 4:

4) Why would you disrecpect Chuck by comparing him to Hitler? Also see forum rule 6: Respect other members. Respect others opinions, religion, sexuality, skin colour, etc.

5) For creation of the earth refer to Michi's post

6) Noone can forbid you to believe in your mercedes (a german car - what a coincident). I'd like to see that passage in the Bible, the Koran, the torah or whatever anyway.
He, however, was talking about banning religions stating that they are the true and only religion and just let everyone make up a believe for themselfes. You can still believe in God without going to Church / Mosque /synagoge / prayer house. But forming huge groups of people and even preaching hate against other groups of people, which is what the exemists do on every side, is something that is not bearable in these days anymore. It might even escalate across the whole world one day and that is something i really don't want to see...

so seriously: please get your facts straight and grow up!
