RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Josh - 2013-11-07 17:22 Ok, I appreciate your point about the battern-burg - there are only so many different combinations of skin/cuts/lines possible on these sorts of skins. I'm still not 100% sure I am asking you to change the chevrons. I really don't like the way you try to put your point across in this thread. The small petty insults and digs have gotten you nowhere here. You would have been better off accepting this to start with and changing it earlier on. It would be best to remove this skin until the back has been re-done. RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Bez - 2013-11-07 17:30 (2013-11-07 17:22)Josh Wrote: Ok, Already removed from lfsworld. I also sent Pipa a PM that he rudely ignored, about the situation asking him if he wants me to remove the chev's. But he seems to think that batternburg cuts are hard to cut along a straight wireframe line... I'm sorry for the digs but when someone's degrading your work that took me about 4 hours or so to do, while saying its all theirs I'm pretty sure you'd be the same way. Bez Wrote:Would you like me to remove your rear chevrons off my skin?? Or are you ok with me keeping them? I'm sorry I didn't ask but I didn't know DO NOT EDIT meant I couldn't use the rear chevron off your skin, I just thought it was if you added your name on the side or something. Ill get to work on the rear chevs next week for everyone that wants to use it! Many thanks, -Bez RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Elmo - 2013-11-07 21:42 (2013-11-07 16:29)Bez Wrote: Yours and Elmo's are near enough the same?! Elmo's is just a lot thicker? Point? The only similarity is that the cutouts are intended to follow the same creases in the bodywork. If you look closely, the implementation was different (ie the position of the nodes, how many there are etc as well as the thickness). Major differences: positioning & scale of the battenburg squares are completely different. Whereas comparing yours vs Pipa's has the nodes of the top cut identical, identical horizontal scaling of the squares and almost identical alignment of the squares. The nodes position could be put down to the wireframe, but the thickness is a little suspect. Also, the chances of the battenburg squares lining up so closely (especially the scale) would be pretty much nil if they were being worked out from scratch (which they should be, as there is no standard or recommended method of doing it, even between police forces or different livery companies). "Do not edit" generally means do not use *any* part of the skin. Taking one part is still an edit, even if the rest is different. Some skinners will let you put your name/number etc on the skin provided you keep the original attribution. Always ask first though. If you do use a part of someones skin (either with permission or if public), you should always give credit for their hard work where possible. Being inspired by other designs is fine and if you actually make it from scratch (rather than using a skin as a reference etc) you're pretty much guaranteed to come up with something genuinely unique. It's pretty easy to spot direct copies (either copy-pastes, tracing, or side-by-side reproduction) so don't try to rip off someone else's work/designs as your own. RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Bez - 2013-11-07 22:50 But you can clearly see the size of the batternburg isn't the exact same or in the exact same place on Pipa's gif.. Fades from your skin to mine The line if near enough the same and all I did was follow the wire frame down as anyone else would.. I'm not sure if that's due to both us being a perfectionist or something but its just the way it is. Quite rude and yet you expect people to treat you like a saint.. Interesting what you consider to be rude. 1. Ripping other peoples work of - fine 2. Having the nerve to tell me off for voicing it - fine 3. Calling me blind for simply pointing out extreme similarities - fine If you treat other people like that, usually you get something different in return than just an ignored pm. And next time you follow the wireframe try to be a bit more precise as most of the cuts are pretty far off, you don't want to repeat the same mistake i did. Just a small hint from a perfectionist to another perfectionist. Would an admin please lock this thread until further notice please. Thank you! RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Pipa - 2013-11-08 12:19 (2013-11-08 12:06)Bez Wrote: Go cry so more please. I have nothing to hide from you or anyone Pipa so please crawl into that hole of yours and be quiet? You quite remind me on Tony Montana the way you act. "The world is ours" Wireframe (Click to View) GG, kthnxsbai. End of. RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Pipa - 2013-11-08 12:54 You can quite clearly see that the wireframe is hardly in the middle, especially obvious on the whole rear of the car. Because unlike you, i don't seem to be able to cut straight along the wireframe and the same mistakes are blatantly obvious on my skin. And if you feel to question my motives, i do enjoy making those skins and i have no problem with sharing them with this community, but if somebody steals my work and claims it as his then i do have a problem with that. What is more astonishing is your complete attitude despite all that evidence against you making it by yourself. (2013-11-08 12:45)Bez Wrote: so please crawl into that hole of yours and be quiet? Sorry where did I say anywhere in this thread about using the wireframe in the middle of my lines?? You're in the clouds Pipa... You have no evidence you just claim it to be yours because its similar. Josh has spoken anyway so stop your flame war and get on with something else, other than crying over my skin that's quite similar to one of yours. You have nothing that proves barely anything other than some .gifs showing a line that's not hard at all.. I'm not sure if you think your a skin god or something or that I've presumably shown you up, because your skins aren't that original at all.. If you really think that an emergency skin is going to look completely and always different to yours then you're high.. Please Pipa stop showing yourself up... You're making yourself look.. Well yeah. RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Pipa - 2013-11-08 13:19 Earlier you said and i quote "But he seems to think that batternburg cuts are hard to cut along a straight wireframe line... " and now you apparently don't anymore. If i had done the skin wouldn't i know? I still do and i made mine quite a while ago. And even if you now don't follow the wireframe line anymore, then you make the same variations, same thickness, same angle as mine? Completely ingored Elmos post i see. Didn't know i was a skin god. Sounds awesome though, when will i get my superpowers? (2013-11-08 13:03)Bez Wrote: You're making yourself look Fabulous? RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Pipa - 2013-11-08 13:43 When you say you cut along the wireframe, then it implies that your trajectory is in line with it and not at some weird angle. My variations are down to just being bad at skinning and since you seem to be much better at it, i thought you had no problems following it. But ah well what do i know, i can't even read. If two people make the same mistakes in an exam and they were sitting together, what would your conlusion be? RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Bez - 2013-11-08 14:02 Would a leader either lock this thread or even delete it since 90% is Pipa flame. Certainly not a way skinners that supply skins for this community should be treating each other. Please don't unlock a thread for no reason other to bitch AGAIN. RE: [SKIN] Toyota Celica Rescue. - Pipa - 2013-11-10 23:38 I got a hint to look at it and trust me there was no banter. You even said it twice, since nobody else wanted to reply to it. Once again using only my side and not the full conversation.. Very nice Pipa very nice Also when did i insult you on the forums...? I said don't open a thread to start bitching again. That isn't an insult.. xD |
