RE: Get Ready UK! - Luke - 2013-11-14 20:29 If it snows, it has to snow extremely heavy so you physically cant get on the road otherwise its just a pain... Surely it's just a pain when you are unable to get on the road? RE: Get Ready UK! - Luke - 2013-11-15 09:36 Yeah but then i have a good excuse not to go to school, then i can sit and make snow angels all over the road RE: Get Ready UK! - Johan. - 2013-11-15 12:07 The weather has 2 options for me. Either a shitload of snow so I can get photo's on a boat, or hell freezes over so I can do it on foot. RE: Get Ready UK! - Luke. - 2013-11-15 14:45 (2013-11-14 11:56)Cola Wrote: God damnit. I used to love my CR500 though more fun than push bike Not mine but looks very simular Spoiler (Click to View) RE: Get Ready UK! - Cola - 2013-11-15 15:17 Haha, you and your crossbikes. Mine'll just rust away if I take it out into the salty roads. I don't really have any farmland or something like that to ride on, so not so much to do about it. Might take her for a short spin if they cut down on the salting on the smaller roads. RE: Get Ready UK! - Viper - 2013-11-15 16:06 I've been riding in the snow on my GSX-R for the last 3 years. Only had one very minor incident too. Having said that it was nerve-wracking yet exciting and adventurous. Bike's off the road this year tho. No problems with rust because of all the salt they spread out? / RE: Get Ready UK! - Viper - 2013-11-16 00:37 Keep on top of cleaning the bike after every trip, especially the chain/sprockets, wheels rims, brakes. A good tip is also to spray most of the exposed essential parts of the bike in WD40/GT85. All the salt/dirt will stick to the WD40 and not the bike, then when it comes to cleaning after a winter run it all just washes straight off. Maintenance is key tho. That actually is some pretty good advice. I'll definitely remember that.
