I don't keep the heater at max so it doesn't bother me a bit. What's wrong having it next to a window?

I don't know, it's just bad. Best would be facing towards the heater and window. If you can do that, ofc.

I did, but the firmware popped itself and its jst a giant paperweight unless I can find another mainboard for it..
