This was the reason why I couldn't attend the [965] GTR Rally

Set off yesterday at 9AM from Sheffield to go and look at the car in London, arrived at about 1PM, got the keys and did a thorough inspection of the car, checking for any accident damage etc, then took it for a test drive at 3PM after I had some lunch (this is about the time when I said to Huski and GOOMB I can't make he event). When the Mondeo was stood still for some time, for some reason the Gearbox was a bit iffy. Then when we got onto the Test Drive, and it was the smoothest gearbox I had ever felt. So this indicated to me the car was on sale for some time. At 3:30PM, I went with the car salesman to settle a deal with the Mondeo, I knew I had to buy it when I went on that test drive. He gave me the valuation of the Superb (£950), I was surprised it was going to be that high for an 11-year-old car, so I immediately accepted the offer and then went onto the Mondeo. The price was settled at £10,349 (+ admin fees etc, it was £10,448). The best price I could've possibly got for a Mondeo of that mileage and specification. So, after that I went to the Collection Point and sorted out my Superb's Documents (like V5C etc) and made the final payment (Thanks a bunch shares). Then I played the waiting game (it was horrifically busy at Car Giant. It's a huge site and it was packed everywhere). I eventually got the keys and immediately was a problem. the 12V Cig lighters didn't work in the front, but it did work in the boot. I knew it was a fuse, so I took it to the Mechanics on site and watched them change the fuse and... Heyho! They worked! Now for the long drive home (set off at 8:30PM), but half way up the M1 I thought to myself, I'm bloody starving and realised I hadn't had tea, so I pulled of at J15a's service station and had a McDonalds (only bloody place that was open on the M1), done that, set back off home (at around 11:15PM) and didnt arrive till this morning at 0:45AM. It was a long day...
