RE: Post Your PC Specs! - FR4NOx - 2011-10-31 00:01 Ah the good ol' RAID 0, perfect for SSD's. Nice computer. Shame it's a Dell though. RE: Post Your PC Specs! - Lewis - 2011-10-31 01:09 What are SSD's ? Whats wrong with a dell ? RE: Post Your PC Specs! - Jon - 2011-10-31 01:59 Dells are for Dongs. RE: Post Your PC Specs! - Lewis - 2011-10-31 02:01 Knew you would butt in you nub ! RE: Post Your PC Specs! - FR4NOx - 2011-10-31 02:13 Solid State Drives, more reliable, faster, no moving parts, more expensive. Putting SSD's in Raid 0 is a good idea because it's cheapest to buy smaller sized drives and Raid 0 makes them operate as one. My mom's totally anti-Dell because she got unlucky with her m1330 and forces me to hate Dell, but I despise prebuilt desktops anyway. It's cheaper to built it yourself, and it's more "you" in it instead of a conveyor belt and a clueless monkey putting them together. :3 Anyone out there with Macs? RE: Post Your PC Specs! - Lewis - 2011-10-31 02:48 So kenwood, will the graphics card that i selected be able to use 3 screens ? RE: Post Your PC Specs! - Street - 2011-10-31 02:48 Kenwood, I have a Macbook for my musical stuff and my custom build PC (I say custom built, I picked the parts and Overclockers did most of it, I added a coupla things mind). (Personally I like Dells) RE: Post Your PC Specs! - FR4NOx - 2011-10-31 04:08 (2011-10-31 02:48)Lewis Wrote: So kenwood, will the graphics card that i selected be able to use 3 screens ? Yes, make sure to purchase a DP to whatever you need adaptor, 6870's ship either with 1 single link DVI, 1 dual link DVI, 1 HDMI, and either 2 mini displayports or 1 displayport. Wait for your PC to arrive and the see what port you have to get a proper connector for the third monitor, unless the monitor uses HDMI then you should be all set. Yes I know custom-built and self-built, I only go custom-built if I'm laptop shopping and I'm torn between a Sager/Clevo or a sexy MacBook air. . What are the specs for both? Paul has the same (but then in crossfire ), and has tripplescreen working. Pentium 4 HT 2.8Ghz 512mb DDR400 ram ATi Radeon x1650 Pro AGP X8 512mb, a very nice card (that's the third ATi card it's had within 6 years.) stock was a 9800 pro 160GB HDD 5400rpm I think. Stock airplane style cooling, two 120mm fans blowing full force in a piece of plastic towards an enormous heatsink. Those P4's were hotplates.
