RE: Server Variety - NVK - 2013-06-20 14:59 Sydney in general is a great track to drive on, but i think the issue here for those who doesn't like it, is the way how the layout is built up. I don't have any updated data of the current layout, but i guess it's familiar from last time i drove it. If i recall correctly, it's very narrow and short on spaces.. maybe have an more open build layout for tryout and see if there will be different reactions.. RE: Server Variety - Sebas - 2013-06-20 15:23 I think its fair to say that people that "Dislike" Sydney are the ones that are not "obeying" the laws (I.e Speeding, driving the wrong way, drifting, etc..). As a Roleplayer cruiser and [TOW] driver, i have mixed feelings about Sydney. I like it because its more technical and has the "feel" of city driving. Two-way traffic, roundabouts and crossroads add to that feeling. I also dislike it because it's hard for a [TOW] driver to do its job efficiently (Barriers that causes lost trip ![]() As most people said, this is not a "Race" server. If you'd like to go as fast as possible, go on a race server. If i remeber correctly, this is supposed to be a "cruise" server. If you obey the road laws as described, this is a great track to play on. That's my opinion. RE: Server Variety - James - 2013-06-20 18:21 I personally believe Sydney best represents [TC]. For one, Sydney is inside a city and I guess really. What we try and do here is simulate driving to the best we can and well, this track does that the best. I am bored with the visuals of the tracks that are repurposed to cruising where as this track actually is inside a city. What more could you want ? Pre designed road markings, designated lanes, hell even an Odeon for christs sake. I love Sydney and I am far from the best driver that ever graced [TC]. I know the looks of each track wont change but its a refreshing difference between constant sand traps, an oval and a tiny track that you have to U-Turn to change direction. I am all for the servers having the same track on it also. RE: Server Variety - Johan. - 2013-06-20 20:05 Spot on James. RE: Server Variety - Sadie - 2013-06-20 20:51 First time i joined this server i was like: Nice! I don't know this game have a real life driving server! This server i want to play on! Later: OMG! Police cars! Later after that: Why is all *Removed* cars racing and drifting here? Its a cruise server. This is why i LOVE sydney! Its hard to speed without crashing, and all barriers does it very hard to drift. I really don't know why people playing here when they just drifting and speeding. Even when we do a long cruise people cant drive the speedlimed. So because people just are drifters/speeders, play on a other server when you lovely TC server don't have the track you want to play on. Its also other cruise server whit other track you can play on if it hurt's so much to play on sydney. RE: Server Variety - Dan - 2013-06-20 21:36 When I first joined TC and they brought on Sydney, I used to hate it. As my (yes, they have) driving skills have improved considerably over the months, I've found that the layout is something you'll get used to, hence why I don't crash as much as I used to on here. Based on this, I just think it comes down to your car control. If you're a rubbish driver in general, then you probably won't be able to cope with layouts like Sydney. That's why Nick struggles. It's called CityDriving and not cruise server xyz. The whole cops and robbers aspect relies on people speeding, drifting or breaking other server laws. And after a little warmup, Sydney is the best place to have a blast round. RE: Server Variety - Hexta - 2013-06-20 21:46 Hated Sydney the first time I played it a few weeks ago. Then I got a decent setup and became familiar with the layout, it gets interesting after that. Just need to give it time and get used to the layout to enjoy it. RE: Server Variety - NVK - 2013-06-21 06:57 Gumball start off would be something on Sydney! ![]() RE: Server Variety - Kieran - 2013-06-21 07:22 I think sydney is ok but there are way too many pointless barriers, the other day I was cruising and went to park in the car park on high st? And I pulled in and got stopped by an armco barrier placed against the actual sydney barrier. Just too many pointless object imo that don't make the track flow.
