LFS is just about entirely CPU dependent because of the physics. as you saw in some of my screenies with a 4690k and a HD7770 GHz Edition, I can get up to 720fps (or 1000fps when mining on MC) RE: Show your setup - Luke - 2015-10-15 12:43 (2015-10-12 12:26)Nathan Wrote: got my Pc up and running on the old GFX card a R7 250x getting 260 fps on lfs at max settings. That's a hard one. I've had the EVGA 970 Since it came out, I must say, it's one heck of a card, it's super silent, uses minimal power (like the 960 tbh), I'm able to comfortably run ANY game on near enough max graphics (Crysis, GTA, Battlefield) and you're looking at 60-100 frames per second as well while you're at it. (If your CPU is capable that is) For the price, you can't go wrong, but then again, the 960 is even cheaper, and not that much slower. Personally, I'd go for the 970 simply because of the power it is capable of handling and the fact it will last you a long time with the current development of graphics in gaming. Both are fantastic cards, the 970 is better which is expected, so really it's down to: are you willing to pay that little bit extra to get a better and longer lasting card? Just a tip as well. Do NOT let your framerate in any game fluctuate between big differences (like in LFS or Minecraft, 200-500 FPS every few seconds is not healthy for the card, also if you start running at really High framerates (around 1000fps), it will start screaming, literally a high pitch noise will come from the card, which is normal, not too sure if it's good for the card though but I advise you frame lock at 250FPS, there's no need to go above 250FPS, since the screen latency difference is minimal and you can't really get any monitors with a refresh rate high enough to make a difference. RE: Show your setup - Nathan - 2015-10-19 17:36 went for the 970gtx from Evga good tip though thanks and cheers for the indepath reply luke RE: Show your setup - Jimmy - 2015-11-09 18:58 This G29 is an epic steering wheel, you can adjust volyme, change music on wheel RE: Show your setup - Borja - 2015-11-09 19:21 And the G27 shifter works well? Enjoy it! RE: Show your setup - KooKoo - 2015-11-10 14:14 That wheel looks small. Is it small, Jim? RE: Show your setup - Carl - 2015-11-10 14:25 Looks the same as the G27 in terms of its diameter, its just that the bottom of the wheel is flat, whereas the G27 isn't. I could be wrong.
