RE: Something New You've Got... - Hexta - 2012-07-22 00:25 Been driving 4 days now, just got pulled over tonight by traffic police (due the fact my car was full). Thought I done something wrong, or the insurance didn't go through properly but seems not. Just said it's a routine stop and asked for my name let me on my way. Thought I done something wrong, or the insurance didn't go through properly but seems not. Ive only been pulled once (because I had only just bought my new car and it was registered to a guy in North Wales as DVLA hadnt changed it over yet) and hated it tbh. I know I hadnt done anything wrong but they kinda make you feel as if you have. I cant say the police officer was bad, because he was being quite decent; but its a tad annoying when they don't even belive anything you say. For example, he asked me if I had a 2.0 Vauxhall engine (redtop) in my GTI. I couldnt help but be saracstic (who would ever put a redtop in a GTI?!), but he even had to to open the bonnet for him to check the engine code to the VIN number just to make sure. Checked all my tyres, checked for a de-catted exhaust, checked for any modifications etc. I did get a positive point from him as I was leaving as he commented how nice the car looked. So atleast I smiled for a bit after. But to be fair; the traffic cop side of the police force do a really good job in terms of keeping the illegal cars off the road. I pay stupid amount of money on tax, insurance etc to keep me on the road legally; but I just don't see why they really need to pull you over when they have all the details infront of them on the ANPR system anyway. When he spent the 5 minutes behind me getting all my details up; there was a vehicle infront of me speeding. I don't get how a "routine stop" is more important than speeding? RE: Something New You've Got... - bullet - 2012-07-22 09:33 Finally fixing my bicycle + upgrades =) Getting one of these. Although the one I ordered is white. in white whit white lock-on-rings RE: Something New You've Got... - McGherkin - 2012-07-22 10:19 I got pulled over on a national speed limit airfield once, the guy thought I was running away from him. Pulled in, had a nice chat, and he said to just do it when he wasn't around RE: Something New You've Got... - Hexta - 2012-07-22 10:26 (2012-07-22 07:14)Mike Wrote: *snip* Basically I was with my cousin, his mate and their girlfriends. And the area he lives in isn't the best. I turned left as it was the way to get back to his, I saw the police at the lights to my right had a feeling they'd pull me. Was a big BMW Estate thing not sure on the model ! Basically said it's a routine stop. He followed me for a good 2/3 minutes right up my arse, it was only a 20mph zone as well and I was doing 20. Then he came up to the car, just asked for my name and had a quick walk around the car. Didn't bother checking the tyres or even asking for my licence/insurance documents. Then mentioned his partner is on the sniffer dog unit (hinting he came over to see if he could smell drugs ) RE: Something New You've Got... - Mikee - 2012-07-22 13:28 Was paid £266 for last month, not bad for only working Friday and Saturdays and now all gone. Was time for an upgrade. PC Plod got out of his car and walked up to the window and then said "Oh sorry mate, you can go". Not even like he could have mistaken him for someone else his car stands out a bit lol. RE: Something New You've Got... - SLiiDE - 2012-07-23 11:02 Just ordered this online! Should get it tomorrow Might do a review on it depending if i can be bothered xD RE: Something New You've Got... - Roba - 2012-07-23 16:20 Just bought it yesterday, I took a deal to have the DNA for the next 2 years with 1000min free calling each month, for 2€/month extra price, but the phone itself came from 99€ to 48€ Took the deal because I've always had the DNA, and probably will have in the future anyway RE: Something New You've Got... - Audiojack - 2012-07-23 16:51 (2012-07-23 16:20)Roba Wrote: *phone picture* You literally can't break that phone. My friend owns one and he purposefully drove over it with his car (that had winter tires) and it only got a couple of marks on it. He has also tried to kill it in many other ways but it still looks almost brand new. RE: Something New You've Got... - SLiiDE - 2012-07-23 16:57 LOL I guess mines probably a little easier to brake RE: Something New You've Got... - bullet - 2012-07-23 17:31 (2012-07-23 16:57)SLiiDE Wrote: LOL I guess mines probably a little easier to brake Only way to find out is to test it RE: Something New You've Got... - Johan. - 2012-07-23 17:31 "Does it blend?" |
