Thinkpad reconstructed in Minecraft - Cola - 2014-02-09 14:18

Me and my mate has been making this for the last few days.
Complete with motherboard, ports, battery, screen, OS, keyboard, touchpad etc..

We measured on an actual Thinkpad T410. 1 cm was 3 blocks. Meaning that the total length of the Thinkpad in-game is about 100x70x70 blocks (LxHxD)




9-cell battery in construction:

If I was to make another one, I would definitely choose to build it way bigger, so instead of 3:1, I'd make it like 10:1 or such. The keyboard keys and screen icons was very difficult to make look like something at this scale. Also, the Thinkpad logo on the palmrest is very unrecognizable at this scale.

3 months late notice guys pff! Tis good though, I bet he can visualise every single Thinkpad in existence to a 1:1 accuracy in his head.
