Suggestions about a New Computer - Frozen - 2014-05-31 19:12

Hello Everyone, I've seen already another thread talking about " A New Computer "

I wanted to ask your feedback / experience to advise me what would be the best:

The budget is not high, and so far this is what I've found...

After this long list, which one of them would be the best for the price it has? And , what can I expect in FPS in games like LFS?

Thanks for helping

~F

Are you gonna buy the PC in components? Because if so you can get a lot better than that.

Well, so far , the prices of those are of a company who builds it themselves, and send them to your house with free shipping costs. What would be better than this for the same price?

I mean, arent these any good for the price it has?

They are not bad, but not good either. If you just buy the components yourself you can get a much better PC, you only have to assemble it yourself or let it assemble by a service (50 euros where I live). I'll post some options in a few minutes.

Okay thanks!

Intel Core i5 4440 €150
ASRock H81M-HDS €40
Gigabyte R9 280 €220
Seagate barracuda 1TB €50
Cooler master N200 €35
Crucial ballistix 8GB RAM €65
Seasonic S12II 520W €50
(Crucial M500 128 GB €55) Optional

You can also get an R9 270 instead and get an SSD or to save some money, or an NVIDEA one (760/770). Not saying that this is the best setup, just throwing some stuff together.

Oh cool, me too so those should be the same for you Wink

Go to tweakers.net that is a very easy site to find the cheapest store for different components, the forum there can also give GREAT advise. If you think you won't be able to assemble it yourself you can go and try Azerty.nl they assemble for about 50 euros. PM me if you want more information or anything Smile

I live in Rotterdam so if you live near there I can even help with it if you want.

I checked, and ordering everything in the same site , came up to

€ 618,40 VAT Included

Looks very fair.

Many thanks for your help!

Also

How many FPS can I expect with the setup Malibu made?

Intel Core i5 4440
ASRock H81M-HDS
Gigabyte R9 280X
Seagate barracuda 1TB
Cooler master N200
Crucial ballistix 8GB RAM
Seasonic S12II 520W

In LFS and so on...

You don't have to worry about fps. I have an R9 280X with FX-8320 (overclocked), which is very similar, the 4440 even has better single core performance (and LFS still doesn't use multicores or does it?) and I get a steady 100 fps (fps limiter).
