realism enhancement - Carl - 2014-06-05 20:02 I remember a new, recent rule being added and that was something along the lines of, "cops must now respond to SOS calls." Now in real life, cops do nothing but protect the scene and keep it safe. But on here cops seem to have their hands full managing the criminals and towing! So an idea that i had was just to restrict cops from actually helping. but if in doubt then obviously it has to be done. But i think cops doing both jobs when there are MEDS around defeats the object of even having MEDS. so if it were up to me, i wouldn't necessarily create a whole new rule, i would just stress that they must not help if there are MEDS (in training maybe). MEDS finding themselves responding and there is already a cop in FZ5 cop set trying to flip him. RE: realism enhancement - Warped - 2014-06-05 20:22 I see your reasons, it is tough for a paramedic to watch the scene from grass where the police officer helps the victim. Police officers have the ability to answer SOS-calls, and it's not like they are must to do so as you've written, they do it for the mere fun of it. Polices are on top of the rank system when comparing to MEDs/RES's or TOWs; I wouldn't fight with them! I usually let MEDs/RES's or TOWs to help the user in need when I am policing - as it's not the polices' ultimate job - and do the traffic surveillance in the meantime and help with the scene if needed. I'd think that restricting polices from actually helping could cause trouble. RE: realism enhancement - Edwin - 2014-06-05 20:26 What if there is no med/res/tow online, what will happen to the restriction of cops being able to help? RE: realism enhancement - Edwin - 2014-06-05 20:35 Yeh I think cops should actually let the tows do the job; obviously under some circumstances they are allowed to such as no tows online or the cop is 1m away from the victim whereas the the tow is the other side of the map. Cops should only block roads and manage traffic at an accident like irl. RE: realism enhancement - Carl - 2014-06-05 20:42 Yeah that is right, and also advise civilians not to touch a crash scene unless no COP or TOW. RE: realism enhancement - Dan - 2014-06-05 21:28 That's what I do anyway, I setup a !roadblock and a caution or hazard depending on the severity of the scene, and just wait for a TOW/RES/MED to arrive. I don't think it's needs making official as a rule. |
