[DDS] Blue Lights Collection - McGherkin - 2011-12-27 18:16

The cars of LFS have no blue lights, which is a shame, because they can look awesome when copping. So I've decided to make a collection of blue lights for the LFS cars, replacing the standard indicators with blues. Enjoy.

This is a DDS mod, which means that only you can see it. Other players will see the standard orange indicators. Remember that strobe sequences should use both headlights and hazard lights, and avoid using indicators (7,8).

Remember to back up your dds files. Installation is simple, just paste the file into LFS/data/dds.

Changelog:
1.0 Original File (FXO)
1.1 Added FZ5

FZ5 was going to be my next one anyway, followed by LX. First I gotta do a seperate LFS install for this though lol

Blue indicators. Interesting.

Nonetheless, good job!

Update: Added FZ5.

LEDs don't give much visual range with the FZ5 - the lights themselves are very small. For this reason I made a 'standard bulb' version.

Next up was going to be LX, but I'll do XR next since it's more popular for copping.

Cracking job mate. Cheers!

Can I Use Them In Server ? Smile

RE: [DDS] Blue Lights Collection - McGherkin - 2011-12-30 16:50

Can't see why not. Just remember that everyone else sees them as normal indicators.

TBH, looks like the stuff the ricers do here to their cars, and it looks bad if you're a civilian more.

RE: [DDS] Blue Lights Collection - bullet - 2011-12-31 00:26

Yeah, I don't like police lights as indicators either, but everyone's their own I guess =)

RE: [DDS] Blue Lights Collection - Jappe - 2011-12-31 00:32

Well, as the LFS Strobe, LFS Cops or Elmo's program use indicators and rear lights, and as lfs has no lightbars, we dont have another option than take the indicators, dont we =)

RE: [DDS] Blue Lights Collection - KaraK - 2011-12-31 00:44

Yeah we do.
Make the head and rear lights blue! W00t

RE: [DDS] Blue Lights Collection - McGherkin - 2011-12-31 00:52

I considered it but they are the most visible lights, so I thought I'd make the less visible indicators even less visible, rather than wreck the headlight visibility.
