Insurance & Police System - Rasmus - 2012-01-02 22:25 Hello Everybody. After been watching Road Wars some times now (UK Police Television Program) Me and Ras noticed that the Brithis Police Computers tells the officer if a Car which drives in front of the Police Vehicle dosent have Insurance, And the police can actually Confiscate the Vehicle, Zero Tolerance So me and Ras got an idea for the New Insim System, which is to add Insurance to TC, And a way for the Cops to the check if the vehcile got Insurance. First Part: The Insurance system: •Each car needs to have Insurance. (If the car dosn't have Insurance, The officer will be able to fine the suspect a fine of 300 € For, Driving without Insurance) (Fine List) •Each insurance will be valid for 14 days after buying it. •If you leave pit without insurance on your car the Insim will tell you. Eksample: The Insurance prices are diffrent after the new Vehicle Class, After how big, The Engine Size is. !insuranceprice (Show's Insurance prices) This will be a new command, and will be visiable in the !help command [1]UF1: 40 € [2]XFG: 80 € [2]XRG: 80 € [3]LX4: 120 € [3]RB4: 120 € [3]FXO: 120 € [3]XRT: 120 € [4]LX6: 160 € [4]RAC: 160 € [4]FZ5: 160 € [5]XFR: 200 € [3]MRT: 120 € This is each Group classes Insurance price: [1] 40 € [2] 80 € [3] 120 € [4] 160 € [5] 200 € So how do you buy Insurance? Well you buy Insurance by typing: !buyinsurance (vin) (It will automaticly notice what vehicle model it is as each car has a vin number) Eksample, I want to buy Insurance for my XRG. I do: !buyinsurance AAAHS I now bought Insurance for my XRG And i paid 80 € Because the Vehicle is a group [2] Car. Second Part: The Police System: As the Brithis Police have when they are driving behind a Vehicle the Police Computer tells whatever the car in front have Insurance or not. It will be shown in a box besides the speed: AAAHS: Valid = If Insurance is bought / Invalid = If no Insurance is bought Eksample: Spoiler (Click to View) So i can pull him over if its Invalid, Or maybe if the Officer is busy he can alert other cops in the cop chat or over TeamSpeak, That they need to look out for an Black XRG With The VIN Number AAAHS As it just showed up in the Police Computer As a Vehicle without Insurance. So we thinks that this i possible to make and would be fun for everybody. Whatever the Insurance has no real effect on how many times you crash and so on, Its just for making things more fun to play and More realistic.. All in all its a few commands which will be needed and a add on of the fine list, To make this happend. We Thought alot of this is many diffrent ways and have worked it out in both - ways and + ways. We are looking forward for your support and if anybody have any question feel free to ask, Thank you. [CSR] Ras & [GLOW] Ras
RE: Insurance & Police System - Fast 4 Nitro - 2012-01-02 22:29 Me like it, +1 RE: Insurance & Police System - Brad - 2012-01-02 22:38 I like it, but it would be good if the insurance cost could depend partly on the amount of crashes you've had in the past 14 days. RE: Insurance & Police System - Klurax - 2012-01-02 22:38 Sounds interesting, not sure if Chuck can fix that tho RE: Insurance & Police System - Ras - 2012-01-02 22:41 (2012-01-02 22:38)klurax Wrote: Sounds interesting, not sure if Chuck can fix that thoEverything is possible when made by Chuck Norris RE: Insurance & Police System - Ash - 2012-01-02 22:41 (2012-01-02 22:38)Brad Wrote: I like it, but it would be good if the insurance cost could depend partly on the amount of crashes you've had in the past 14 days. Or whether your part of the [GLOW] team RE: Insurance & Police System - Nammi - 2012-01-02 22:44 sounds good. but i think its a bit too easy with the insurence beeing directly displayed in the tracker. i think it would be better it a cop had to check the VIN upon a traffic stop for insurence wit a little command. That also brings up the idea of vehicle papers that show up to the cop on a traffic stop showing VIN, owner etc. - maybe the ANPR could be an upgrade like the radar detector. RE: Insurance & Police System - Hexta - 2012-01-02 22:44 Good idea +1 RE: Insurance & Police System - Ras - 2012-01-02 22:49 (2012-01-02 22:44)Nammi Wrote: ...Havent thought of that, but true, that's one way to do it. We just wanted to include a ANPR kind of system since thats what many police forces use nowaday. Also makes their everyday easier. RE: Insurance & Police System - Josh - 2012-01-02 22:50 Can you stop removing the spoiler please, I'm adding it for a reason. They could check for papers and it could bring up information about the car, such as whether it needs servicing, previous fines, mileage, vin, history and insurance. But we where thinking of an ID system (2012-01-02 22:41)Ash Wrote:(2012-01-02 22:38)Brad Wrote: I like it, but it would be good if the insurance cost could depend partly on the amount of crashes you've had in the past 14 days. Im sorry Josh, I was editing at same time RE: Insurance & Police System - Tommer - 2012-01-02 23:19 I like the general idea since it compliments the new VIN system, but I think it needs some tweaks to fully work as at the moment I just see it as a everyone will just buy insurance and get it over with type of thing. I'm sure however with a few tweaks there would be usefulness in having an ANPR System or even a [TC] DVLA type of thing (the UK members will understand what i'm on about). Ofcourse, the idea's success purely depends on how well it is executed, but I do see potential for this to bring a new dimension to [TC] whilst we're waiting on Scawen to release his new tyre. Unfortunately i'm a little stuck for idea's on making it work, but since it's on my mind i'll probably have stuff to add tommorow RE: Insurance & Police System - Josh - 2012-01-02 23:26 (2012-01-02 23:01)Rasmus Wrote:(2012-01-02 22:50)Josh Wrote: Can you stop removing the spoiler please, I'm adding it for a reason. Ah righto, 3 goes in a row ain't half bad I like this idea, although at the same time it could just add another confusing system, but If it was done well i think it could really work. Yes i agree to you.. First we also had big thoughts but we kinda resized our thoughts As we thought if we came up with something Easy to make and simple it would actually be something that might happend, While we all are waiting for the New tires and the VWS. Yes as Ras told me, It would need a few adjustings and so to work. But i think i can speak for ras when i say we do look forward for some ideas from you tommer. RE: Insurance & Police System - Sinoco - 2012-01-02 23:50 I like it, don't think it would be just another confusing system if it's implemented properly. It would certainly add a different dynamic to copping (and not copping) on TC. Would be nice to see this come into effect. Great idea. RE: Insurance & Police System - Lewis - 2012-01-02 23:52 +1 to this, would add more realisim to TC. Im sure people would love it RE: Insurance & Police System - E28 - 2012-01-02 23:56 Policies When taking out your insurance, there will be multiple policies, each covering you for a certain amount in damages. Cover will vary in price depending your previous history. Maximum payouts will range from €100 to €5000 and depend on the policy. Purchase You will easily be able to purchase insurance by going to your garage in the 'Home' menu, selecting the car you wish to insure and clicking 'Insure'. This will bring up the different policies, with the cost and how much they cover you for. Acicdents When you have a large crash, a message will pop up, telling you that repairs will cost a certain amount of money. If you aren't insured, you'll have to pay the full amount, otherwise that car will be rendered useless and the engine will not start. However, if you are insured, you can use the insurance money, however if there is any excess (you are insured for €100 but the repairs cost €200) you will be forced to pay it. The more expensive the car, the more it will cost to repair, so you will be forced to take out a more expensive policy or risk losing out. Policing All cars are to be insured. When police are tracking cars they will have to check whether it is insured by using !check <VIN>. This command will also bring up any previous accidents the car has been involved in, how much mileage it has and recent fines. If the car is uninsured then they will be pulled over. The 1st time the driver will receive a warning and be instructed to take out a policy. This will prevent new users from being unfairly fined. Next time however, they will receive a €300 fine. Renewal Insurance will have to be renewed fortnightly, and the user will receive a notice when they log on, informing them that they need to renew their insurance policy/policies and they can either select yes and pay them there, or risk it and drive uninsured. RE: Insurance & Police System - Johan. - 2012-01-03 00:00 I think something else should be added with this to. If the car is damaged, and you drive it into pit (not Shift+P), you will have to pay some for the repairing-costs. With the insurance added, you can get the insurance paying a part of the total reparing-costs. |
