Emergency services radio and depots - Venom - 2014-11-26 14:40

I have 2 new ideas about new features for Emergency services.

First one is to add a radio which works exact same way as cop radio, however this one would be for [TOW/MED/RES] only, so they can communicate to each other by their own radio.

Second one is to add depots, where only [COP/TOW/MED/RES] services can park and be prepared to respond on emergency. Every track would have 2/3 depots and each depot would contain 4 parking spots. To prevent other people to park here, if you dont have [COP/TOW/MED/RES] tag in your name, it will say something like "you have 10 seconds to move" on your screen and if the person doesnt move, he will get specated after 10 seconds.

Radios are a great idea. +1

The depots don't seem to be useful at all and take up objects that otherwise could be used elseware on the track. TC currently have a difficult job with the object limit as it is. -1 for that idea.

Thank you for the opinion. Well if we made just 2 depots for each map then it would take only 10 objects to make. So I dont think that should be the problem

These radios are a good idea. But i dont think any one park in theese "Depots".

Yes it would be an problem.

On some maps, its just 5-10 objects left, and we need them for the roadblocks

I don't really see a point in both of the ideas. The radio won't harm though - but the depots probably won't fit on the layout and as I said - I see no point in them.

If by radio you mean a channel such as the !c command, I actually suggested it earlier this year and it seemed most people liked it, nothing ever got implemented though Confused

+1 on the emergency channel. Should be easy to throw in the insim and no harm in having it.

-1 on those depots. Doesn't fit our layouts and not really practical anyway as there are plenty of parking opportunities.

As an alternative for the radio, create a channel called emergency Smile

As for the depo, you would get random civilians parking in them.

I mean straightly it would work the same as cop radio, like "!emr [text]".
