Laser - Broken? - Otava - 2015-04-13 12:29 Okay I have noticed this before, but have not reported it until now. I`ve captured someone speeding in the 70kph zone, but it says "josh frazer clocked 79kph/(some)mph and then a yellow ball ![]() This is one example of this and it is really annoying. It should be 10%, not more. As you can see on the picture, ThugLife is behind the wall and has clearly been in 70kph zone, but 78kph is not enough Updated RE: Laser - Broken? - Bez - 2015-04-13 12:39 Chuck added a little leeway feature when entering different speed zones. Not quite sure on how it works. I think it just takes the speed from the last zone and applies it to the next for 5 seconds or so. RE: Laser - Broken? - Borja - 2015-04-13 12:56 I think what Bez say , because some zones change from 120 to 90 foor example , and have few secs for slow to 90 RE: Laser - Broken? - Chuck - 2015-04-13 13:15 2 possible reasons: 1: The actual, technical speedlimit is different to what you think. You can hardly ever convert even mph numbers to even kph numbers, which means one of them is always less accurate. Insim itself measures in m/s, so the actual speedlimit may be like 79kph. 2: There's a 5 second delay when the speedlimit lowers to give people some time to react to limit changes. There's people around who measure in kph, and people who measure in mph, so keeping both seems just fine. One suggestion would be that if he is usiing !mph it is measured as mph, but if kph, it is measured as kph, U get the idea RE: Laser - Broken? - Dan - 2015-04-13 15:12 (2015-04-13 15:05)Otava Wrote: Really annoying to watch it. So, to elaborate, if you had your settings to !mph then lasers would be captured in mph and vice versa for kph. The only thing is that !showlaser would need to display both measurements for the suspect, dependent on which speed measurement the individual is using. |
