URS - Suggestion - Owl - 2015-04-18 08:53

Hello,

I was just thinking about why we don't have the rights to see our own URS. I personally think we should have rights to access it because for some people, they have a hard time getting around, so it would be useful to know what they would need to work on, rather than guessing. For example, if their URS is full of entries to do with attitude, they would know they need to work on attitude.
Another thing is that, if you apply for a Team Recruitment and they ask how many times have you been banned on TC, it would be great to look that up as well.

It's just a simple suggestion. Not trying to pick up any fights.

Anyone else with me?

You could be a bit more productive and give me a reason why you said "Nah."

I don't think we want you seeing your own URS.
You should already be aware of your history.

RE: URS - Suggestion - Owl - 2015-04-18 09:00

Well, that is a good point, however, what about the people who have been on TC for donkey years?

RE: URS - Suggestion - BP - 2015-04-18 09:03

Well, what about them?

If you don't break the rules, you won't get in trouble. You don't need to access a single entry if you take that into account. Everyone should be aware of almost every entry of their own URS (except for perhaps refund entries etc.) anyway.

If you have a problem with your attitude, ramming or whatever, I'm sure an admin will swiftly tell you.

Ok. Fair enough

I also asked if its possible to see it, a year ago. I still think its our right to know that, cause to be honest, people can't exactly remember what warning they received years ago.

Why does it matter if you've forgotten a warning? Does that mean you also forgot the actual rule you were warned for?

It's like you want to view warnings to make sure you don't want to break that rule any time soon. You shouldn't break the rule anyway.

RE: URS - Suggestion - Owl - 2015-04-18 09:22

I think you are forgetting the fact that there is a !report in the insim. We would like to see if people have done that to us. The URS shouldn't be kept a secret if its about us. We deserve the right to know what others think about us.

That's actually a disadvantage in itself. Do you not realise how many arguments that would cause?

No, you don't.

Dont be mad, but i think u both are causing a bit mess and where going more away than a suggestion

In my opinion, i think that we should have access to our personal URS.And if are leader of a team, just ask an admin for provide u the information, or just the user give you a screenshot

RE: URS - Suggestion - Pipa - 2015-04-18 09:42

I can see why you want to view it, but frankly i don't ever see it going to happen.

RE: URS - Suggestion - Sadie - 2015-04-18 09:50

If you wanna see your warnings/bans or something just suggest a command ingame as !warns and all your warnings come up?

RE: URS - Suggestion - Olli - 2015-04-18 09:55

I agree that people shouldn't be able to see their URS's.

RE: URS - Suggestion - Mufflord - 2015-04-18 10:02

since there are stuff written there by admins about users i see why you admins dont want to make the urs public, however just having something so you can see how many bans and the simple reason as to why, kinda like on the ban list, says date how many days and reason in short like " 365 days 21/05-15 insulting"
same with warnings. But you can still have the user notes you admins have private to admins only. Just my cent.

RE: URS - Suggestion - Spark - 2015-04-18 10:02

Its a no from me as we don't need to see it as such, you get in trouble with an Admin, later on he places that onto your URS. You should learn from that and if you don't, well its your fault the next time you get banned / rights revoked or whatever and all of this just because you haven't taken anything the Admin said into account.

This is just an example and is not pointed at anyone.

RE: URS - Suggestion - Ash - 2015-04-18 10:31

The details within a users URS Report File are purely there to assist us dealing with any future offenses a user may commit.

Whether you remember if you have committed an offense previously or not is totally down to you.

Regardless, you shouldn't be breaking rules anyway in the first place, therefore totally eliminating the need for you to ever worry about your URS Report.

RE: URS - Suggestion - Pete - 2015-04-18 11:17

There were 45 arguments a day on the old forums when we had a reputation system that allowed down voting. Being able to see your urs would turn this forum into a flame war worse than the LFS forum progress report threads.
